Situación en la cual un anestesiólogo capacitado se encuentra con una ventilación e intubación difícil.
Ventilación difícil con máscara facial Laringoscopía difícil Intubación traqueal difícil Intubación fallida.

PREPARACIÓN PARA VAD
Informar al paciente y personas responsables de éste, si cuenta con factores predictores de VAD.
Contar con dispositivos de manejo de VAD.
Contar con apoyo de especialistas en manejo de VAD.
Preoxigenación por 3 o más minutos.
