Leaning Tower of Pisa — Italy The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the freestanding bell tower of the cathedral in the Italian city of Pisa. It is known worldwide for its unintended tilt to one side. The tower’s tilt began during construction and was caused by an inadequate foundation on ground that was too soft to support the structure’s weight.

The Alhambra — Spain The imposing Alhambra is located on a hill rising above the Andalusia city of Granada. The Moorish-style fortified citadel is both the oldest and most impressive Arab palace in the area.

The Coliseum — Italy The Coliseum is the largest amphitheater built by the Roman Empire. It is an elliptical amphitheater in the center of Rome, Italy. It is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and engineering. Up to 60,000 spectators could watch gladiator fights, animal hunts, athletics, and theatrical entertainment.

Aletsch Glacier — Switzerland The Aletsch Glacier is the largest and the longest glacier in the Alps. It has a length of about 23 km (14 mi) and covers more than 120 square kilometers (46 sq. mi) in the eastern Bernese Alps in the Swiss canton of Valais.

Venice — Italy Venice, a city in northeastern Italy, is situated on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. It is located in the marshy Venetian Lagoon. It is renowned for the beauty of its setting, its architecture, and its artwork.

The Athenian Acropolis — Greece The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a high rocky outcrop above the city of Athens. It contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance, the most famous being the Parthenon.
