L’ AIGUA

THE WATER

Water on earth is important,

for children, young and old people.

Turn off the tap,

water won’t be wasted!

I’m going to water my garden

taking care of not wasting it.

Water is good to drink

and very healthy to grow up

We’ll use water with care

as everybody needs it.

Flush the water correctly using the right dose,

thus we’ll save water, fantastic!

We mustn’t pollute water

as we have to enjoy it.

Water is good to cook,

but we mustn’t waste it.

Saving water is very important

that’s why we mustn’t waste it.

We are all made of water,

that’s we’re so healthy.

If you don’t have a shower everyday,

nothing happens anyway.

We’ll wake up in a better mood,

if we have a shower instead of a bath.

Let’s take benefit from water,

whatever happens.

When you brush your teeth,

turn off the tap and don’t waste water.

With water, landscape will always be green,

and grass won’t be greener on the other side anymore

Our washing machines use water,

but we must be careful and save it.

Water must be reused

because it can be all recycled

We need water to live,

without it we wouldn’t laugh

Drop by drop,

we’re running out of it.

EL CICLE DE L’AIGUA

The Earth has a limited amount of water. That water keeps going around and around and around and around and in what we call the "Water Cycle".

This cycle is made up of a few main parts:

-Evaporation (and transpiration) -Condensation -Precipitation -Collection

Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers or lakes or the ocean and turns it into vapor or steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake or ocean and goes into the air.

Water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds. This is called condensation. You can see the same sort of thing at home... pour a glass of cold water on a hot day and watch what happens.  Water forms on the outside of the glass.  That water didn't somehow leak through the glass!  It actually came from the air. Water vapor in the warm air, turns back into liquid when it touches the cold glass.

Precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that the air cannot hold it anymore.  The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in theform of rain, hail, sleet or snow.

When water falls back to earth as precipitation, it may fall back in the oceans, lakes or rivers or it may end up on land.When it ends up on land, it will either soak into the earth and become part of the “ground water” that plants and animals use to drink or it may run over the soiland collect in the oceans, lakes or rivers where the cycle startsall over again.
