1. INTRODUCCIÓN
La nueva S/E Gorbea 66/13,2 kV, de propiedad de TRANSNET, se conectará a las líneas de 66 kV
Temuco - Loncoche, quedando ubicada aproximadamente a 33,17 km desde S/E Loncoche y a 46,78 km
desde S/E Temuco. Se contempla la conexión de un transformador de 5 MVA 66/13,2 kV el cual contará
con desconectadores fusibles en 66 kV y un reconectador Siemens con unidad de control Argus como
interruptor general de media tensión 52CT1. Esta subestación alimentará los consumos del alimentador
52C1 propiedad de CODINER, el cual tendrá un reconectador Siemens y unidad de control Argus como
equipos de protección
2. OBJETIVOS
El presente estudio tiene por objetivo proponer ajustes para las nuevas protecciones de
sobrecorriente que poseerá el transformador T1 y el alimentador 52C1 de S/E Gorbea.

3. ANTECEDENTES UTILIZADOS

En la modelación del sistema en estudio, se consideraron los parámetros de líneas y
transformadores, según el detalle que se indica a continuación:

4. CASOS ANALIZADOS
Para determinar los ajustes a implementar en las protecciones de S/E Gorbea se analizarán los
siguientes escenarios de operación:

5. CRITERIOS Y AJUSTES PROYECTADOS.
Como criterio general de coordinación de protecciones se establece un paso mínimo de
coordinación de 0,3 segundos entre dos protecciones que se encuentren en forma consecutiva y que
operen frente a una misma falla.
5.1. S/E GORBEA PROTECCIONES TRANSFORMADOR T1
5.1.1. PROTECCIÓN DE SOBRECORRIENTE LADO 66 KV TRANSFORMADOR T1 (89BT1-F)
El transformador T1 contará con desconectadores fusibles como elementos de protección en
lado de 66 kV.
Para la elección del fusible a utilizar se considerará la potencia total ONAF del Transformador
más un 20% de sobrecarga:

5.1.2. PROTECCIÓN DE SOBRECORRIENTE LADO 13,2 KV TRANSFORMADOR T1 (CT1)
En el paño 52CT1 se instalará un Reconectador SIEMENS con unidad de control Argus, el cual
contará con elementos de sobrecorriente de fase y residual.
El pick up de fase en 13,2 kV se ajustará a la potencia nominal ONAF del transformador T2,
considerando un 20% de sobrecarga controlada.

Por otro lado, el pick up residual se ajustará al aproximadamente al 10 % del ajuste de fase:

Las características tiempo-corriente del paño CT1 deberán coordinar con los fusibles en 66 kV y
los alimentadores de media tensión, ante fallas en la barra de 13,2 kV.

9. VERIFICACIÓN DE COORDINACIÓN DE PROTECCIONES
En este estudio se han modelado en DigSilent Power Factory los esquemas de protección del
transformador T1 y el alimentador 52C1 de S/E Gorbea. Además, a fin de verificar la coordinación con
el resto de las protecciones del sistema, se han modelado las protecciones de los paños B2 y B6 de S/E
Temuco, B3 y B6 de S/E Loncoche y los paños B2 y B4 S/E Pullinque.
Para la verificación de coordinación de protecciones se realizaron simulaciones de
cortocircuitos para fallas trifásicas, bifásicas, bifásicas a tierra, monofásicas a tierra y monofásicas a
tierra con resistencia de 25 Ohm.
Para la realización de las simulaciones, se utilizó un barrido de cortocircuito cada 0,5 km a lo
largo de cada una de las rutas definidas para los cinco escenarios en estudio. De esta forma se
determinó el tiempo de operación de las protecciones involucradas para cada ruta estudiada. En estos
anexos se han incluido los resultados gráficos y cuantitativos de los barridos de cortocircuito efectuados
sobre cada ruta.
En cada tabla se indica el tipo de falla, la ubicación de ésta, el punto donde se realiza la
medida, la función de protección operada y el tiempo de operación de los elementos de protección.
A continuación se detallan las rutas utilizadas en la verificación de coordinación de
protecciones, de acuerdo a los escenarios de operación definidos en el punto 4 de este informe:

10. CONCLUSIONES
A través del presente estudio, motivado por habilitación de la nueva S/E Gorbea 66/13,2 kV, se
efectuó la especificación de ajustes para las protecciones de sobrecorriente del transformador T1,
compuesto por desconectadores fusibles en 66kV y un reconectador Siemens con unidad Argus como
interruptor general de media tensión 52CT1. De igual modo, motivado por los requerimientos de la
empresa Distribuidora CODINER, se han determinado los ajustes a implementar en el alimentador 52C1,
el cual también poseerá un reconectador Siemens con unidad de control Argus.
S/E Gorbea estará conectada normalmente a la LT 66kV Temuco – Loncoche N°2. Sin embargo,
gracias a la interconexión en 66 kV, mostrada en el diagrama unilineal del punto 3.4, será posible
alimentarla desde la LT 66kV Temuco – Loncoche N°1. Esta particularidad ha hecho necesaria la revisión
del comportamiento de las protecciones para los 5 escenarios de operación que se han analizado en
este informe.
Escenario 1, 2, 3: (Alimentación en anillo de S/E Gorbea, en donde la LT66kV Temuco-
Loncoche es energizada desde los extremos Temuco y Loncoche):
En esta condición, las protecciones de distancia de los extremos Temuco y Loncoche no
detectan fallas en la barra de MT de subestación Gorbea, permitiendo despejar las fallas en
13,2 kV selectivamente en Gorbea. Se observa que las fallas ocurridas al principio del enrollado
de 66 kV del T1 de S/E Gorbea serán despejadas por los fusibles en 66kV del transformador y la
zona 1 de las protecciones de distancia los extremos Temuco y Loncoche, existiendo
coordinación vía reconexión por las reconexiones implementadas en S/E Temuco y Loncoche.
Escenario 4: (Alimentación radial de S/E Gorbea desde el extremo Loncoche):
En este escenario, se ha determinado que el paño que alimente radialmente a S/E Gorbea
(B3 o B6 de Loncoche) debe tener habilitado el set de ajustes N°2. En este grupo de ajustes
alternativo, que actualmente tienen disponibles los paños B3 y B6 de Loncoche, el alcance de la
zona 2 es menor, por lo que las fallas entre fases cercanas a la barra de 13,2 kV sólo serán
vistas en tercera zona por el extremo Loncoche, permitiendo que las fallas en MT sean
despejadas selectivamente por las protecciones de S/E Gorbea. Se observa que las fallas
ocurridas al principio del devanado de 66 kV del T1 de S/E Gorbea serán despejadas por los
fusibles en 66kV del transformador y la zona 1 de la protección de distancia del extremo
Loncoche, existiendo coordinación vía reconexión por la reconexión implementada en
Loncoche.
Escenario 5: (Alimentación radial de S/E Gorbea desde el extremo Temuco):
En este escenario, las protecciones de distancia del extremo Temuco no detectan fallas en la
barra de MT de subestación Gorbea, por lo que éstas serán despejadas selectivamente en
Gorbea. Se observa que las fallas ocurridas en el enrollado de 66 kV del T1 de S/E serán
despejadas por los fusibles en 66kV del transformador y la zona 1 de la protección de distancia
del extremo Temuco, existiendo coordinación vía reconexión por la reconexión habilitada en
S/E Temuco.

Cabe destacar que, para realizar la incorporación de la nueva S/E Gorbea 66/13,2 kV, no se
requiere efectuar modificaciones en las protecciones del resto del sistema, por lo que se mantienen los
actuales niveles de coordinación.
Finalmente, a partir de las simulaciones presentadas y las tablas de verificación expuestas, se
concluye que los ajustes especificados para los elementos de protección mencionados, permiten
mantener una adecuada coordinación con el resto de las protecciones del sistema, brindando
protección al transformador de poder T1 de S/E Gorbea y al alimentador 52C1 propiedad de CODINER.
