• When the minutes are between 31-59, you will have to do some math. In Spanish, you have to round up to next hour and subtract in order to get the minutes until that hour.

• Example:

– For 4:53, we would round up to the next hour.

How do I know if it

is “tarde” or

There are special phrases that are used like English to indicate midnight and noon. (half night/ half day)

• 12:00 a.m. = midnight =

• 12:00 p.m. = noon =

“At…” • To say that something happens “at” a

certain time, “a las” or “a la” will be used instead of “son las” and “es la”

• Ejemplos:

At 8:00am I arrive at school.
