Aboriginal Health College

• The Aboriginal Health College of the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW were in 2012 successful in gaining the tender from AIATSIS to run the pilot course for the Certificate IV in Stolen Generations Family Research and Case Management

• Has been successful to get the course on scope and will be running once pilot is finished

Development The program was developed using a collaborative approach involving members of the National Link - Up Advisory Reference Group, the Australian institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, and CIT Solutions.Organisations involved

ContextThe Certificate IV in Stolen Generations Family Research and Case Management is delivered over a six to twelve month period using a blended approach following McCall, Eichinger and Lombardo’s 70/20/10 model (2000). This model states that 70% of learning occurs from real life and on-the job experiences, tasks and problem solving; 20% from feedback and from observing and working with role models and 10% from formal training.
