Los ensayos son normalmente un proceso de escritura de tres partes. Las tres etapas se denominan pre-escritura, redaccin y revisin. Para aclarar el proceso de escritura vamos a examinar las estrategias empleadas por varios estudiantes y escritores profesionales.
