Ecosac se encuentra al norte de Perú, 300km. al sur de
Ecuador. Con más de 6,000 hectáreas bendecidas con un
clima favorable para el desarrollo de varios cultivos.
Nuestra actividad inicia en el año 2000 con sólo 10Has
dedicadas a pozas de langostinos. Hoy tenemos cerca de
2,500Has entre diversos cultivos como camarones, pimiento
del piquillo, pimiento morrón, uvas, paltas entre otros.
Ecosac is located in the North of Peru, 300km. south of
Ecuador. With 6,000 hectares blessed with a favorable
climate for the development of various crops.
Our activity begins in year 2000, with only 10Has.
dedicated to shrimp ponds. Today we have over
2,500Has. between several crops like shrimps, piquillo,
bell peppers, grapes, avocados among others.
His
tory
Ecosac is founded under the name Eco Acuícola, with the idea of implementing a project to farm shrimp using water from the Piura River. After the first trials were successful, we were motivated to continue with the project
2000
Parallel to shrimp farming, we began production of peppers, in order to reutilize water, which we were already pumping into the dessert. Drylands would soon began to transform, slowly but surely, in very productive, job creating, farmlands.
2001
A canning plant was built, in order to add value to our products. With our own processing plant, new possibilities arouse, new clients and new markets.
2002
We continued expanding into the dessert, with a stronghold in the production of piquillo, bell peppers and paprika, and with a very important and growing base of clients in Europe and the United States.
2003
First Table Grape trials ever performed in the Piura region. With these being a success, we are drawn to develop the first vine arbors, in two consecutive years, primarily of Red Globe grape.
2004
We deployed a CSR policy, in order to give back to our neighbors in Chapairá, town adjoined to our land, everything which they had given us with their daily work. Projects are mainly focused in children and their youth, in areas such as health, education, and nutrition.

Acuícola, con la idea de
implementar un proyecto para
cultivar camarones usando el
agua del Río Piura. Después que
las primeras pruebas tuvieron
éxito, nos motivamos a seguir
adelante.
2001
Paralelo a la actividad
camaronera, empezamos la
producción de pimientos, con la
finalidad de reutilizar el agua, la
cual ya estábamos trayendo al
desierto.
Las tierras áridas pronto
empezaron a transformarse,
lentamente pero
consistentemente, en una muy
productiva y generadora de
empleo actividad agrícola.
2002
Una planta de conservas fue
construida, para dar valor a
nuestros productos agrícolas.
Con nuestra planta propia,
nuevas posibilidades
aparecieron, nuevos clientes y
nuevos mercados.
2003
Continuamos expandiéndonos en
el desierto, con una fortaleza en
la producción de piquillo,
pimiento morrón y páprika,
acompañados de una muy
importante base de clientes en
Europa y Estados Unidos.
2004
Llevamos a cabo la primera
prueba de uva de mesa realizada
en la región de Piura. Siendo ésta
un éxito, nos avocamos en
desarrollar los primeros
parrones de uva, durante los dos
siguientes años, principalmente
de Uva Red Globe.
2006
Desarrollamos una política de
RSC para devolver a nuestros
vecinos de Chapairá, un pueblo
adjunto a nuestro fundo, todo lo
que ellos nos dan con su trabajo
diario. Los proyectos se enfocan
principalmente en los niños y
jóvenes, en áreas como salud,
educación y nutrición.
The first avocado plantations are planted in Ecosac. Our goal is to contribute a new product, highly sought after worldwide, to our supply of fresh produce.
A mango farm in Jayanca is acquired, in the Chiclayo Region, two hours south of Ecosac. The goal is to enrich our supply of fresh produce, as well as to grow in table grapes and avocado.
The fresh produce packing house is built in order to pack ourselves our own fruit production, and with that, reach the most demanding world markets. Our brand Ecovid was launched that year.
A new frozen products plant is built, with the objective of processing, freezing and packing our own shrimps, right next to the ponds where are farmed.

Seguimos diversificando
nuestros cultivos. Iniciando la
primera cosecha de uva sin
semilla a escala comercial. Con
ellas, empezamos a llegar a
mercado más sofisticados como
Inglaterra, el norte de Europa y
Estados Unidos.

Se da inicio a la primera
plantación de paltas en Ecosac.
Nuestra meta es añadir un nuevo
producto, altamente demandado
mundialmente, a nuestra oferta
de productos frescos.

Adquirimos una finca en
Jayanca, en la Región de
Chiclayo, a dos horas al sur de
Ecosac. La meta es enriquecer
nuestra oferta de productos
frescos, así como crecer en uvas
de mesa y paltas.
2013
Construimos nuestra planta
empacadora de frutas con el fin
de empacar nosotros mismos y
con ello alcanzar a los mercados
del mundo más demandantes.
Ese mismo año lanzamos nuestra
marca Ecovid.
2015
Construimos una nueva planta de
congelados con el objetivo de
procesar, congelar y empacar
nuestros camarones, justo al
costado de las pozas de cultivo.

Nos expandimos en el desierto convirtiéndolo en tierras de
vegetación y aprovechando el río Piura, a medida que los
cultivos daban sus frutos, nos dábamos cuenta que cada
cosecha tiene una historia que contar. Apareciendo entre las
verdes hojas de los sembríos el Piquillo y el Morrón son
solicitados por los paladares mas exigentes.
We expanded into the desert turning it into vegetation
fields and taking advantage of Piura river, with each
harvest, we realized that every campaign has a story to
tell. Appearing between the green leaves of the fields
the Piquillo and the Morron are requested for the most
exquisite markets and customers.

We pack over 15’000,000 units per year between piquillo and bell
pepper. We are able to pack in cans and jars, in many different
formats for both foodservice and retail.

Our Sweet pepper is destined for the canning industry as
well as the frozen produce industry. We began growing it
in 2003 in an area of 40 Ha. Today, our annual
production reaches over 400 containers.
We farm this pepper in two different ways. The first one
is in an open field, in red and yellow hybrids, where the
final product is used for canning. The second way is using
a mesh house, this way is yet at a trial stage. Our goal is
to have a first grade quality product, suitable for the
fresh pepper market in the US.

Piquillo pepper is a sweet pepper used for canning, its
appeal coming from its intense red color when harvested.
We began this crop in mid-2002, with an area of 30 Ha.
That same year, a canning plant was built, and ever since
we have been increasing our production area, parallel to
the growth in demand for our products.
Today we have approximately 300 Ha in production. We
only grow one variety, the Spanish Piquillo, which we
produce in several presentations, such as whole and strips.
