The club has become a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism through the years, with the motto "Més que un club" (More than a club).

• On October 22, 1899, Hans Kamper placed an advertisement in a local newspaper claiming his wish to form a football club.

• 29th November 1899 FC Barcelona was created by eleven players attended, led by Joan Gamper

the Les Corts district in Barcelona. The building was built in 1702 and was purchased by FC Barcelona in 1953.

• La Masia is considered to be the best soccer school in the world, it is very expensive costing the players and their families 5 million dollars.
