Estimados Lectores:

Tras el parón sufrido por la temporada invernal, nuestra revista vuelve a estar entre vosotros, como siempre con la intención de teneros informados de la última hora en este deporte.

Y en esta ocasión, tenemos muy buenas noticias, producidas por el espléndido desarrollo del Open de Andalucía, por el propio Masters de Augusta y la celebración, una vez más, de la European Nations Cup, pero también tenemos que hablar de aspectos negativos.

Negativo, como es la pérdida, aunque aún quedan por ahí, ciertos resquicios, que hablan de remotas, pero aún alguna posibilidad, de que la Candidatura de la Costa del Sol a la Solheim Cup de 2015, siga adelante.

Y aunque alguien piense, que es más una cuestión personal, debo deciros, que para mi modesta opinión, esto último de alguna posibilidad, no es ni más ni menos, que un último canto de sirenas.

Canto de Sirenas, Loa a la Desesperación, llamarlos como queráis, esto no tiene solución, y no tiene solución porque dependemos de ”los políticos”, y con ellos, ya se sabe, un día sí, un día no, es decir, ni comen ni dejan comer.

Y en cuanto a los aspectos positivos, tenemos grandes eventos celebrados, como el Masters de Augusta, el European Nations cup, el Open de España o el Open de Andalucia, y muy pronto, los venideros Volvo Mundial match Play, etc.

El golf no para, y aquí esperamos seguir para informaros de todo lo que acontezca.

Inaugurado en 1992, Consta de 2 campos de golf: Campo Links tiene 18 hoyos y un recorrido total es de: 5.866 más. Fue diseñado por .Peter Ellis y Clive Clark e inaugurado en 1992. El 2º campo es el Headlands, tiene un recorrido de 6.373 mt. y fue diseñado

por el estadounidense Dave Thomas.Situado cerca de los puertos

más importantes de Cádiz como el de Sotogrande, y ofreciendo en su entorno la posibilidad de hacer deportes de montaña como la escalada o el senderismo, el campo de golf la Alcaidesa es perfecto para descargar adrenalina, respirar calma y practicar nuestro deporte favorito. Es un complejo con puerto propio y zona residencial, hoteles y magníficas instalaciones, un magnífico campo de prácticas de 72 puestos, la mitad de ellos cubiertos y una amplia zona de prácticas con putting green, bunkers y zona de juego corto. Además podrá también beneficiarse de la Academia de Golf donde se preparan futuros golfistas y el pro-shop de más de 200 m2.

Su recién estrenada Casa Club, cuya arquitectura combina perfectamente la modernidad con un estilo tradicional andaluz, está situada entre los dos campos de golf, en el punto más alto de la localidad, ofreciendo todo tipo de servicios: restaurante, terraza con vistas al campo de golf y al mar, parking, patio central de estilo andaluz y sala multiusos donde podrá realizar todo tipo de eventos en los más de 3.000 m2 cuadrados disponibles.

Alcaidesa Heathland Golf Course

El nuevo campo de Alcaidesa, consta de 18 hoyos par 72, ha sido diseñado por el prestigioso ex jugador de la Ryder Cup yautor de numerosos trazados de renombre internacional, Dave Thomas. Este campo ofrece una variedad de paisajes naturales que van desde una zona de mesetas (hoyos del 1 al 5, 17 y 18) donde el campo se asemeja a un campo tipo “heathland“, con amplias calles y excepcionales vistas al Mediterráneo, a distintas montañas, hasta la zona del valle donde los hoyos serpentean a lo largo del mismo e incorporan varios obstáculos de agua.

The new Alcaidesa course, consists of 18 holes par 72, designed by the distinguished former Ryder Cup playerand author of numerous internationally renowned tracks, Dave Thomas. Emma Cabrera se ha sumado, a base de una taquicárdica combinación de trabajo, acierto y sufrimiento, a la nómina de campeonas de España de Profesionales tras imponerse en la presente edición celebrada en La Sella, una de las más emocionantes de los últimos tiempos.

La golfista canaria solventó un inicio titubeante de competición con dos jornadas de creciente solidez rota inesperadamente entre los hoyos 13 y 17, cuando la creciente tensión se palpaba en el ambiente y la amplia renta acumulada hasta entonces con respecto a Raquel Carriedo y LauraCabanillas, segundas clasificadas, quedó reducida a su mínima expresión.

Con dos y tres golpes de ventaja al inicio del último y decisivo día sobre sus más inmediatas rivales, Emma Cabrera echó mano de la paciencia y de la oportunidad para poner muy pronto tierra de por medio. RaquelCarriedo, segunda en el tee del 1, realizaba un jirón en su tarjeta en

Schlasberg llegó al 18 con un golpe menos que la campeona y tenía que embocar para birdie y salir a play-off, pero tuvo que conformarse con el par. Mariana había cometido su segundo

Mariana Macías nació en Argentina hace 23 años y a los dos se trasladaron sus padres a vivir a España. Comenzó a jugar al golf a los 12 -“antes montaba a caballo”- en verano en Sancti Petri, se aficionó, y continuó progresando en el Club de Golf La Dehesa, en Madrid. Licenciada en International Business por la Universidad de Auburn, en Alabama, se hizo profesional de golf en octubre del 2009. Le encanta viajar, le apasiona la egiptología y su cantante favorita es Mariah Carey.

Alcanzó en la clasificación a Jiménez,enelhoto17del recorrido,y aprovechó la bondad del último par cinco, el hoyo 18 para rematar su vuelta y colocarse en posición de líder.

Por aquel entonces, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, había ido sobreponiéndosea diferentes vicisitudes, en su primera vuelta, bogey al 1 y al 4, bien recuperados con sendos birdies en el 3 y el 5, para rematar una primera parte con otro birdie al 9, que le situaban en clara disposición de alzarse con la victoria, la primera de este año.

Pero la presión, el cansancio, o el no poder con la acometida del número uno del mundo, le impidió culminar el objetivo, fue incapaz de conseguir un solo birdie, durante los últimos nueve hoyos, que al menos le hubieran situado en disposición de haber disputado el play off.

La segunda parte del recorrido fue anodina, lenta y cansina, y ni siquiera los hoyos que durante todo el campeonato, le habían sido propicios, lo fueron este último día.

Como muestra vale un botón, Miguel Ángel en el par 3 del hoyo 16, realizó un gran primer golpe, con clara opción de birdie, pero su putt no entró, en el 17, otra gran salida con el drive, pero falló en el segundo,

teniendo que conformarse con otro par, y para colmo en el asequible par 5 del hoyo 18, otra grandísima salida, dejándose un golpe de unos 190 metros, ideal para su palo preferido de la bolsa, “su maderita”, pero en esta ocasión se fue pasado de green, al bunker posterior, con muy poco espacio para trabajar su sacada, y la misma se quedó a unos 3 metros del hoyo, con sus consiguientes dos putt.

Mientras tanto, el vigente número 1 mundial, contemplaba las escenas en el televisor, ya desde hacía bastante tiempo en la casa club, y no daba crédito a lo que veía, nueve hoyos y Miguel Ángel, era incapaz de darle caza, hasta que el final dictó su sentencia, nueva victoria consecutiva, ganó también la semana pasada, y agradecimiento a su gran amigo, Jiménez, una semana más en elnúmero 1 de la clasificación mundial.

En Dubai estuve con Tiger Woods y le invité a venir. Le dije que yo organizaba el torneo y que no tenía mucho dinero, pero que era bienvenido. No le podía pagar un

fijo, ni gasolina para su avión pero sí buena comida, buen vino… nos reímos y él dijo “lo pensaré”.

Miguel Ángel ha recibido hoy el reconocimiento de la Federación de Periodistas Deportivos de Andalucía (FPDA) por la magnífica temporada 2010 en la que ganó tres títulos y contribuyó a la victoria europea en la Ryder Cup. Álvaro Quirós: “Estoy aquí porque hay en juego dos plazas para el Volvo Mundial Match Play y también porque sé el esfuerzo que hace Miguel Ángel Jiménez por sacar adelante estetorneo que, además, se juega en mi tierra, muy cerca de casa.

No estoy jugando bien, pero todo puede cambiar en un día. Estoy trabajando con Pepín Rivero pero lotengo difícil. No estoy bien desde el tee y el viento complica las cosas aún más. En el hoyo dos no he cogido el drive ningún día sino el hiero 3 y 4, hay que tocar muy bien la bola para dejarla cerca.

Por ranking mundial soy favorito, pero estoy seguro de que hay jugadores más en forma que yo. El campo del Parador no es largo y no hay rough, por lo que hay más jugadores con opciones, veo el torneo muy abierto. El campo está cada vez mejor. SéqueMiguelÁngel Jiménezno ha podido preparar el torneo como hubiera querido porque es el organizador, pero no le descarto para

la victoria el domingo porque conoce el campo como nadie, sabe hasta por dónde andan las hormigas.

En la última vuelta de Dubai éramos 22 jugadores en un margen de dos golpes. Pensé que al menos uno haría 4 ó 5 birdies en la primera vuelta y resulta que ése fui yo. Después vino el triple bogey y tuve que seguir luchando. Sentí incluso algo de alivio cuando vi las pizarras y después de todo seguía co-líder. Eso fue lo que me hizo seguir luchando.

Estoy orgulloso de que el Tour haya considerado el hoyo en uno que hice en Dubai como el mejor golpe del mes de febrero. Era la última vuelta y además gané el torneo.

Con los años he ganado madurez y estoy aprendiendo a manejar la presión. Hay jugadores jóvenes como RoryMcIlroyoMatteoManasseroqueya tienen esa madurez con menos años, pero otros como yo, algo más alocados, hemos necesitado la experiencia para aprender. Todo el mundo siente presión, hasta Tiger, pero los buenos jugadores son los que saben manejarla. Antes no medía los riesgos en el campo, pensaba que podía hacer algo y lo hacía sin pensar que hay golpes que salen pocas veces. Ahora, aunque esté al 80% si no hago locuras, puedo estar ahí, por eso soy mejor golfista.

En los grandes torneos mi rendimiento no ha sido bueno salvo un octavo puesto en el Open Británico, pero eso tendrá que cambiar algún día, tengo 28 años y si sigo trabajando y exigiéndome las cosas cambiarán.

No es que me pase nada en los Grandes, pero en estos torneos los campos son más exigentes y si estás al 80% sólo peleas por pasar el corte cuando en los torneos del Tour a un 80% puedes hacer mejor resultado.

Creo que mi generación puede suponer una nueva edad dorada para el golf español. En el equipo nacional, cuando éramos amateur, coincidimos Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño, Alfredo García Heredia, Alejandro Cañizares, Rafa Cabrera-Bello, Pablo Martín…todos jugadores del Tour. Es la nueva Armada española.

En el tobillo tengo alguna molestia, no dolor. No me impide hacer vida normal ni jugar. Cuando hago un buen swing, duele menos (bromea).

En el futuro sí me veo organizando un torneo, me gustaría. Pero sería sólo anfitrión, sin jugar porque tienes que estar pendiente de mil cosas y no estaría concentrado en el juego.

Me haría ilusión, eso sí, prepararía el campo como a mí me gusta, calles anchas a 280 metros, estrechas a 260 (bromea), greenes muy rápidos…, pero es algo de cara al futuro, todavía está muy lejos”. JoséMariOlazábal:“Hoyhejugado

muy bien, ha hecho menos viento que ayer y me he sentido bien, contento de estar aquí y con ganas de jugar otro torneo, a ver si las cosas salen, estoy trabajando para eso.

La primera semana en los Emiratos no jugué bien, pero pasé el corte en Qatar y en Dubai tuve muy buenas sensaciones y un buen resultado (decimoquinto). Me siento bien, obviamente no estoy al cien por cien físicamente, pero espero seguir mejorando, eso es lo importante ahora. La evolución de los torneos fue positiva pero no es difícil mejorar cuando partes de cero (bromea). Lo

que espero es tener más a menudo semanas como las de Dubai.

No me he propuesto jugar un número determinado de torneos, si me encuentro bien, espero competir con regularidad y estaría bien jugar unos 20, pero dependerá de cómo me encuentre.

En septiembre empezará la clasificación para la Ryder Cup 2012y hasta entonces no quiero hacer comentarios sobre este asunto. Aquí he venido a jugar y no a echar el ojo a los jugadores. Es muy pronto, además diez de los miembros del equipo se clasificarán y sólo tendré que vigilar a unos pocos, pero no ahora. Aunque he visto a Colin Montgomerie un par de veces, no hemos hablado de la RyderCup.

Mi objetivo para esta temporada es recuperar la forma y volver a ser competitivo, no ir a determinados torneos. Después de lo que he pasado lo importante es volver a ser competitivo. Estoy lo suficientemente bien como para entrenar por eso no

quiero que los problemas físicos sean una excusa. Es difícil volver a sentirme como antes, entre otras cosas, ya tengo 45 años, pero la experiencia no te

Mañana domingo, se disputa la última y definitiva jornada del Open de Andalucia de 2011, en el que cabe destacar carios aspectos básicos.

Primero, hasta el momento y en contra de todas las previsiones climatológicas iniciales, el tiempo ha sido esplendido, no estaría de más, que en la última jornada, el viento, como parece que puede ser, nos brindara la oportunidad de ver un golf diferente.

Un golf de primera, y no por eso debemos interpretar que el que estamos viviendo no lo sea, que lo está siendo, pero si con un poco mas de movimiento, que nos permita contemplar la solidez de los de arriba, hasta el momento se ha jugado en excelentes condiciones y sin complicaciones meteorológicas.

COMPRENSIÓN DEL GOLPE

- Es de vital importancia que entendáis que la arena se interpondrá entre la cara del palo y la bola

- Deberéis comprender que se necesitará mas intensidad de fuerza a la hora de impactar con respecto al golpe corto desde la hierba.

EL SWING Y LA ALINEACIÓN

- Existen dos colocaciones para los golpes básicos de bunker:

1. Alineación en paralelo con la cara del palo cuadrada.

2. Alineación a la izquierda con la cara del palo abierta.

- La alineación en paralelo el jugador se alinea cuadrado respecto a la línea del objetivo. Una de las ventajas de esta posición es que el jugador estará más cómodo al no estar condicionado a cambiar prácticamente nada con respecto a un golpe corto desde la hierba.

- Partiendo de una alineación ligeramente a la izquierda con la cara del palo abierta el palo debe moverse en dirección a nuestro cuerpo y no con la dirección del objetivo.

- El plano del palo tenderá a verticalizar para conseguir impactar por debajo de la bola, el jugador no tiene que modificar la subida esto se hará automáticamente si partimos de una buena alineación.

- Se debe hacer un backswing relativamente largo ya que la arena tiene que interponerse entre la bola y la cara del palo.

DIFERENTES TIPOS DE SACADA

Partiendo de una colocación abierta:

Bola cuesta arriba: Para esta posición debemos amoldar nuestro cuerpo al terreno. Para ello colocaremos el peso del cuerpo y nuestros hombros similares al terreno en este caso más hacia el cielo y la posición de la bola mas hacia el pie izquierdo, ya que si adoptásemos una posición normal el palo se hundiría demasiado en la arena.

Bola cuesta abajo: Para esta posición utilizaremos la misma técnica que la bola cuesta arriba. Vamos a intentar amoldarnos al terreno, en este caso el peso del cuerpo y nuestros hombros deberán mantenerse mas hacia la tierra y la posición de la bola desde el centro hacia la parte trasera de la colocación, según verticalidad de la pendiente con esto conseguiremos que el palo se mantenga después del impacto muy cerca del suelo facilitando a si la salida de la bola.

Bola empotrada en su propio pique “huevo frito”:Para este golpe nos colocaremos con la cara del palo cuadrada o ligeramente cerrada y daremos un golpe en seco contra la arena justo detrás de la bola. Es probable que el palo se hunda en la arena pero si se hace de manera correcta, la pelota saldrá del bunker.

LA SUBIDA-DETALLES SOBRE LA EJECUCIÓN DEL GOLPE

- Es aconsejable que el tope del backswing de este golpe no llegue a estar paralelo al suelo porque esto puede provocar un ángulo ascendente en la zona del impacto.

- Mover el palo en la misma dirección del cuerpo.

Miguel Ángel Jiménez, son los otrostres jugadores españoles, que se mantiene bajo par, al término de la primera vuelta, todos ellos con uno bajo par.

Al par del campo o mejor, se encuentran en este momento 70 jugadores, y por ahí van a ir los tiros del corte de mañana.

En ese par del campo, se encuentran nada menos, que seis de nuestros representantes, Álvaro Velasco, Chema Olazábal, JaviColomo, Eduardo de la Riva, PedroOriol y Alfredo García Heredia.

Muchas dificultades para el resto, incluido en actual campeón y defensor del título, hasta un total siete de nuestros representantes, y el resto realmente difícil, en algunos casos imposible.

su vuelta, quizás con demasiada energía, que incluso podemos calificar de excesiva aceleración, y ese exceso le llevo a firmar un bogey en el hoyo 1, afortunadamente clamo su ímpetu, y firmo dos birdies consecutivos en los hoyo 2 y 3, pero su salida en el hoyo 4, se fue justo en medio de un matorral, y tras estudiar y analizar todas las posibilidades, tuvo que adoptar la decisión de dropar con la correspondiente penalidad, lo que al final del hoyo le supuso firmar un doble bogey, que fue decisivo para el desarrollo final, aunque hay que reconocerle su gran espíritu, su fuerza y la paciencia que tuvo durante el resto del recorrido, templando los nervios e intentando, al menos haber obtenido el premio del segundo puesto en solitario, pero al final no pudo ser.

Aun así, hay que reconocerle un grandísimo torneo, en su tierra, pero sobretodo un Open de España marcado, trágicamente por el fallecimiento de Severiano Ballesteros.

Hemos visto a los profesionales, realmente marcados por lo sucedido, intentando sobreponerse a los acontecimientos, aunque en algunos casos, por su gran amistad, ha resultado imposible, casos concretosdeJoséMaríaOlazabalyMiguelÁngelJiménez.

Mención aparte merece otro luchador, Álvaro Velasco, que con el mismo nos reconocía una vez terminada su vuelta, no pudo ser, aun habiendo jugando bien toda la semana, pero concretamente en el día de hoy, el putt no ha entrado y ese lastre, es lo suficientemente importante, para no darte opciones de llegar con posibilidades al sprint final.

Ambas jugaron la semana pasada en Nabisco en Estados Unidos, y aunque su actuación no fue excesivamente positiva, han aunado fuerzas y conocimientos, para la disputa de esta competición por equipos, y a fe de que hasta el momento, lo están consiguiendo.

“Hemos jugado juntas en muchos torneos por equipos cuando éramos amateurs, pero esta será la primera vez que lo hagamos como profesionales, y es algo que nos apetece mucho a ambas”, declara María Hernández.

Ilusión y compenetración son dos factores fundamentales en esta Copa de Europa Femenina que alcanza su cuarta edición, todas ellas disputadas

en La Sella Golf. “María y yo tenemos un juego bastante similar y pegamos distancias parecidas. En principio esto es bueno en un torneo así”, manifiesta Azahara Muñoz, una opinión asimismo compartida por María Hernández: “Jugar tan parecido puede ser unfactor muy interesante a nuestro favor, aunque eso hay que verlo cuando empiece el juego. Hemos jugado ya 18 hoyos aquí y las sensaciones son muy positivas”.

Al margen del resto de potentes escuadras en pos del título –Suecia, vigente campeona; Inglaterra, Australia, Alemania, Francia, Italia, etc–, todas las participantes se enfrentan con un enemigo común, el bello pero complicado recorrido de La Sella Golf.

“El campo está muy bien, me gustan estos greenes duros y rápidos, mucho más parecidos a los que nos encontramos en Estados Unidos. Allí, por norma general, los campos te penalizan mucho más que en Europa, donde si fallas green aún puedes recuperar”, argumenta Azahara Muñoz.

María Hernández, por

su parte, coincide en afirmar que “el campo está fenomenal y mejor que va a estar estos días. Greenes rápidos y duros, rough alto y complicado,… como debe estar para una competición de este nivel” en el marco de un torneo donde vaticina que “hay rivales muy fuertes, como Inglaterra, Australia o Suecia, aunque seguro que surgirá algún equipo que de la sorpresa y esté peleando al final por el triunfo” en una competición que supone un excelente preludio de la Solheim Cup que se celebrará en Killeen Castle a finales de septiembre.

objetivo para este 2011 es estar en septiembre en Irlanda jugando la Solheim Cup”, asegura con convicción Azahara Muñoz, quien al igual que su compañera María Hernández aterrizan en La Sella Golf con trayectorias similares: excelente palmarés amateur en España refrendado en su etapa universitaria en Estados Unidos, un triunfo en el Circuito Europeo (Madrid Masters 2009 y Open de Eslovaquía 2010, respectivamente) y obtención de la tarjeta para el Circuito Americano Profesional.

Calidad tiene de sobra, tal y como demostró con sus victorias en el Open de España 2002 de Salamanca y en los Cataluña Ladies Masters de 2004 y 2005. Segunda jornada de la European Nations Cup, y las espadas no solo se mantienen en alto, si no que nuestras representantes, la navarra María Hernández y la malagueña Azahara Muños, nos han brindado, otra jornada de consistencia, de regularidad, de compenetración y de buen juego.

Si en el día de ayer, firmaban un 66, con 6 golpes bajo par, hoy la regularidad ha sido aplastante con otro 66, otros seis bajos, que las han situado a un solo golpe de la cabeza en segunda posición, tras el equipo sueco.

Lastima de ese bogey, propiciado por tres putt, en el hoyo 17, que nos situaba a dos golpes, aunque la reacción no se hizo esperar, y justo a continuación, en el hoyo del cierre del recorrido, el 18, un par cinco, complicado, pero que permite la realización de birdies, el equipo español, sumo su séptimo birdie del día, para computar una tarjeta final acumulada de 12 bajo par.

En el camino, las australianas, que compartían partido con las españolas, y que partían en el liderato de la prueba, alternaban buenísimos golpes, con fallos importantes, lo que al final las dejaba en quinto lugar, empatadas con las francesas, con un total de 8 bajo par.

El equipo alemán, ha realizado la

mejor tarjeta del día, con un 64, que les ha metido de lleno en los primeros puestos, con todo el fin de semana por delante.

La modalidad de juego de hoy, la Valencia cup, permite diferentes posibilidades, y la verdad es que varios equipos, han sabido sacar provecho de ello.

Nuestra representantes, con un grado de complicidad importante, nos comentaban al finalizar la jornada, que se encuentran muy contentas, jugando francamente bien, y que a pesar de ser una modalidad no muy utilizada, se han sentido a gusto, entre otros motivos, porque ambas, tienen una pegada muy similar, lo que las permite acertar mejor con los palos a utilizar, y su conexión dentro del campo, se refleja en el resultado final.

Nos queda por delante un gran fin de semana, en el que tal y como vemos a la pareja española, existen importantes posibilidades de triunfo.

Por su parte, María Hernández nos comentaba: “En el fondo no

Así las cosas, y con España fuera de la carrera, todo quedo centrado en 3 equipos, Suecia, Alemania e Inglaterra, y llegaría hasta el final, con las dos últimas empatando en segunda posición, y con un equipo sueco, que culmino el campeonato, como no podía ser de otra forma, con

III.- El ETERNO PRESCINDIBLE: EL ESTIRAMIENTO. (Parte 1ª)

Como te adelanté en el artículo anterior, nos vamos a centrar en uno de los grandes olvidados, supuestamente prescindible, de la educación física. No son pocos los alumnos que pretenden anular los estiramientos de mis programas de entrenamientos, a favor de completar la parte más dura de las rutinas de trabajo que les he confeccionado. Nunca practiques deporte sin estirar. Es muy perjudicial para tu salud. Si estás escaso de tiempo, realiza una buena tabla de estiramientos, y a casa. No es sólo una simple recomendación, sino la única opción sana, siempre que te veas en esta situación, de horarios algo apretados.

LA SALUD EN LA EDUCACIÓN FÍSICA Y

EN LA NUTRICIÓNEl estado natural al

que siempre tiende el músculo, cuando está inactivo, es el de contracción o

encogimiento. De ahí la importancia de

prepararlo para la actividad que se va a efectuar con

ejercicios de elongación, con el fin de que, cuando necesitemos de él un esfuerzo determinado, éste inicie su movimiento desde un estado óptimo, y no tenga que sufrir alteraciones bruscas que puedan dañar sus fibras musculares y/o tendinosas. Éste esel fin principal del estiramiento

previo. El que se realiza al final del ejercicio, adapta el aparato locomotor para el reposo, previniendo las lesiones leves. Es tanto o más importante que aquél.

Una prueba de la importancia de estirar antes de un ejercicio físico, la podemos observar en nosotros mismos, cuando, después de una inactividad

prolongada, como puede ser al levantarnos por la mañana,

después de dormir, el cuerpo casi nos obliga a estirar todos los músculos, mientras bostezamos, produciéndonos una sensación de placer, perfectamente identificable como la respuesta a una necesidad fisiológica de nuestro organismo.

Realizarlosestiramientos,yhacerloademás de forma adecuada, antes, durante, después o, incluso, en ausencia de ejercicio físico, no sólo es imprescindible para un buen rendimiento funcional en la actividad deportiva, sino que son la mejor y más completa forma de prevención para evitar problemas musculares y articulares.

Pero, para esto, es necesario

comenzar describiendo las reglas básicas de ejecución de los estiramientos, los tipos que existen, cuándo se deben aplicar cada uno de ellos, así como conocerlos y diferenciarlos de las movilizaciones articulares y del calentamiento.

Las reglas básicas de ejecución para la realización de los estiramientos, son las siguientes:

1.- Nunca se debe llegar al umbral del dolor. Se trata de elongar o estirar el músculo conservando una tensión apropiada.

2.- Mantener o, incluso, forzar la respiración. Se tiene la perniciosa costumbre de retener el aire mientras estiramos.

3.- En los estáticos (ver artículo del próximo mes), comenzar y deshacer los movimientos con extrema lentitud. Nunca realizar el efecto rebote o insistencia.

4.- Se deben realizar unas tres series de 15’’ a 20’’ cada una, por cada ejercicio.

5.-Realizardeseisaochoejerciciosdiferentes.

6.- Cuidar la hidratación, fundamental en el mantenimiento del tono muscular. (La hidratación, por importante, merece un artículo exclusivo, que desarrollaré en su momento).

7.- Merecen especial atención y cuidado los estiramientos que impliquen al eje formado por columna vertebral y pelvis.

Así mismo, existen una serie de circunstancias que desaconsejan la realización de estiramientos de cualquier tipo, salvo instrucciones

específicas de un médico especialista: -. Enfermedad vascular.-. Cirugía reciente.-. Lesión muscular o tendinosa

reciente.-. Esguince reciente.-. Fractura ósea reciente.-. Inflamación.

se deben seguir durante la realización sana de un ejercicio físico cualquiera, especificando las peculiaridades de nuestro deporte, el golf.

III .- The stretch. (Part 1)

El valenciano José Bondia Gil, halogrado la victoria en el Campeonato de España Universitario tras imponerse por un golpe de ventaja y en un emocionante final a Francisco Lainz, jugador que dominó la competición en los dos primeros días y condosdediferencia sobre JorgeSimón.

Bondia, que partía con dos golpes de desventaja al comienzo de la tercera jornada estuvo entre los puestos de cabeza durante toda la competición esperando su oportunidad en la ronda final.

El día que fue “largo y duro” según las propias declaraciones del Campeón, tuvo su momento culminante cuando el valenciano firmaba cuatro birdies consecutivos en los hoyos, 9, 10, 11, 12, ya que hasta ese momento los constantes cambios en el liderato era algo constante.

“Mi idea era coger la mayor ventaja posible, porque sabía que en algún momento tenía que fallar”, gracias a esos birdies el valenciano cobraba cuatro golpes de ventaja, algo que resultaría fundamental para la consecución del Campeonato. José Bondia terminaba con 215

golpes, tras rondas de 72, 72 y 71, la regularidad del jugador valenciano

fue fundamental para la victoria en el Club de Golf León.

Bondia que el pasado año finalizó segundo en esta misma competición no quería que le sucediera lo mismo que en la edición anterior cuando se le escapaba el oro en el último instante.

“Estoy muy contento con la victoria. He jugado muy bien al Golf y he mejorado técnicamente. Ahora me toca estudiar y por ello no podré asistir al Campeonato de España en La Coruña, ya que me coincide con exámenes”, nos contaba el jugador, feliz tras su gran triunfo.

Pablo Lluch ha terminado en el puesto 20º (238), Rafael Culla en el21º(239),JorgeTorresenel23º(240)y Sergio Saiz en el 27º junto a Andrés Caballer ambos con 241 golpes.

El cuadro de honor de este Campeonato de España Universitario se completa con Ana Fernández de Mesa como Campeona en el apartado femenino y con la Universidad Católica de San Antonio con Antonio Leandro y Belén Buendía en el apartado por equipos.

Las Colinas Golf & Country Club acogió el Torneo de Golf Röhnisch,evento patrocinado por la firma especializada en prendas deportivas femeninas, fundada en 1945 por Hellmut Röhnisch, campeóngimnástico sueco.

El Torneo disputado el pasado 16 de abril contó con la participación de 62 jugadoras que fueron obsequiadas con un pack de bienvenida a su llegada.

La jornada deportiva arrancó a las 9:30 de la mañana con salida al tiro; durante el recorrido todas las jugadoras fueron invitadas a un cóctel sin alcohol.

A partir de las 14:00 y conforme las jugadoras iban acabando sus recorridos se trasladaron al UNiK Café donde se sirvió una comida a todas las participantes.

Al término de dicha comida y desde la misma terraza del Club se disputó una competición de drive más largo con la participación de la jugadora Profesional del Circuito Europeo Femenino, Sara Beautell.

A continuación tuvo lugar un desfile de ropa femenina de la firma Röhnisch,patrocinadoradelevento.

Las Colinas Golf & Country Club hosted the Röhnisch Golf Tournament, sponsored by the firm specialized in women’s sportswear, founded in 1945 by Hellmut Röhnisch, Swedish gymnastics champion.

The tournament match on April 16 was attended by 62 players who were presented with a welcome pack on arrival.

The sports day started at 9:30 am leaving the shot, during the course all the players were invited to a cocktail without alcohol.

Starting at 14:00 and as the players were finishing their rounds were moved to UNIK Café where a meal was served

to all participants.At the end of the meal and from

the same terrace of the Club to host a longest drive competition with the participation of professional players of the Ladies European Tour, Sara Beautell.

This was followed by a parade of women’s apparel Röhnisch signature, sponsor of the event.

El Parque Deportivo La Garza, ubicado en el jiennense municipio de Linares, albergó la 3ª de las pruebas del Circuito de Golf Andalucía-APGA 2011. El complejo deportivo, que cuenta con numerosas instalaciones para la práctica de diversos deportes entre las que se encuentra un campo de golf de 9 hoyos, se sitúa en un entorno privilegiado donde predominan diversas especies arbóreas, estando gestionado por la Empresa Pública para la Gestión del

Turismo y del Deporte de Andalucía S.A.

El sábado 14 en turnos de mañana y tarde, aprovechando el estupendo día que se presentó para la práctica deportiva se dieron cita en el Parque jugadores profesionales y aficionados que compartieron bando bajo la modalidad de juego ‘alianza’. Fueron en total 63 los bandos formados que se enfrentaron al recorrido. De todos ellos destacaron en las posiciones de privilegio en

ambas categorías los formados por Gervasio Cuquejo (profesional) - José Caballero (aficionado) y JoséI. Marín (profesional) - Ana Rivas(aficionada). Así mismo hubo premios especiales para el driver más largo de caballero, de señora y la bola más cercana al agujero que recayeron en los jugadores aficionados JavierMartínez, Cristina Calero y Juan FºMoreno respectivamente. Al finalizar la jornada deportiva se llevó a cabo el acto de entrega de premios y trofeos, que estuvo precedido por un cóctel gentileza de la restauración del Parque, siendo presidido por D. Antonio M. Quesada como Gerente del Parque Deportivo La Garza y por D. Juan Rosa como Presidentede la APGA; donde también todos aquellos jugadores aficionados que no lograron premio directo optaron mediante un sorteo a diversos premios consistentes en material deportivo. Durante el acto se tuvo un sentido recuerdo de homenaje a la figura del más grande golfista que ha dado España, D. Severiano Ballesteros, recientemente fallecido y al que siempre se le recordará y se tendrá presente en la memoria de la APGA y de cuantos la componen.

Como colofón a las actividades el domingo 15 se celebró la vuelta individual de profesionales a una vuelta estipulada de 18 hoyos bajo la modalidad ‘stroke play’. Participaron en la misma 35 jugadores profesionales y 3 jóvenes jugadores

La Empresa Olamar Bussines, a través de su Revista Golf Shots, ha alcanzado un acuerdo con Aymerich Benalmadena Golf, por el cual va a uniformar a los equipos Elite y Jóvenes promesas de la Escuela de Benalmadena Golf.

La Escuela que está cosechando un gran número de éxitos e, en las diferentes competiciones en las que participa, va a ser uniformada a partir del mes de mayo de 2011, por la empresa Olamar Bussines, la que ira aportando diferentes uniformes, así como material de juego para los componentes de las diferentes secciones.

En un principio se ha pensado en estas dos categorías, pero la idea es ir ampliando a toda la Escuela.

La BMW Golf Cup International celebró el pasado sábado con un rotundo éxito la sexta prueba del año. El Club de Campo de Málaga, en el que recientemente se había celebrado el Open de Andalucía, estaba en condiciones más que excelentes y el magnífico día ayudó más, si cabe, a que la jornada fuese insuperable.

En primera categoría se produjo máxima igualdad de juego entre 4 jugadores que empataron a 37 puntos, lo que obligó a un desempate por hándicap. En segunda categoría, el primer clasificado llegó a conseguir la magnífica puntuación de 45 puntos Stableford.

Pablo Alcántara Martínez y Marta Gago Jiménez se proclamaronvencedores del Campeonato de Huelva, Trofeo Huelva La Luz, celebrado los días 7 y 8 de mayo en el Club de Golf Bellavista.

La competición, puntuable para el ranking Absoluto y Junior deAndalucía, contó con la partición de 65 jugadores distribuidos en dos categorías (Damas y Caballeros).

En cuanto a la clasificación masculina, Pablo Alcántara finalizó primero con un acumulado de 145 golpes. El jugador local aventajó en 2 golpes a otro compañero de club, CarlosLeandroRodríguez.Laterceraplaza, empatado a 149 golpes con otros 4 contrincantes, fue para Antonio Morillo-Velarde Fuentes.Respectoalasféminas,MartaGago

selló prácticamente su victoria tras concluir la primera jornada con 71 golpes (+1). Su dominio fue tal que la segunda clasificada, Sara Navarro Morilla, se quedó a 10 golpes de la

Antes de dar inicio al acto de entrega de premios, se guardó un respetuoso minuto de silencio en memoria de Severiano Ballesteros. El legendario jugador cántabro fallecía el día 7 de madrugada y todos los participantes y organizadores quisieron rendirle este simbólico homenaje al mejor golfista español de la historia. Posteriormente, los galardonados recibieron sus trofeos de manos de Manuel Garvayo, Presidente del Comité Masculino, Junior, Juvenil e Infantil de la RealFederación Andaluza de Golf, y de Cristóbal Guerrero, Presidente del Club de Golf Bellavista.

(Ladies and Gentlemen).As for the male classification,

Pablo Alcántara finished first with a cumulative of 145 hits. Local player excelled in 2 hits another club-mate, Carlos Leandro Rodríguez. Third place, tied at 149 strokes with 4 other opponents, went to Antonio Morillo-Velarde Fuentes.
