The Diocese of Yakima MAGNIFICAT This faith formation program is for all people who want to learn more about their Catholic Faith. Through classes of theology taught by specialized teachers on different topics, you will enhance your spiritual growth and study in-depth the pastoral and theological aspects of our Faith. This will awaken in each of us the desire to serve the Lord by being Missionary Disciples. We are Witnesses of God’s Love in the distinct ministries that we serve, and, continue to learn how to teach our catechetical programs to children. Robert Spitzer of the Magis Institute that take on the 4 secular myths currently threatening the faith of our youth in the Catholic Church: 1. Science has proven God does not exist. 2. Suffering proves God does not exist. If God was all loving and all-powerful he would and could stop suffering. 3. Humans are just like other animals – a bunch of conglomerated atoms and molecules – there is no proof of any transcendent “soul” within us. 4. There is no proof at all that Jesus was anything special and certainly not divine. There is no real proof of his existence or resurrection – just myths. (Pew Research) At each Magnificat class, we add a 2 nd session that will examine the Essential Modules that provide you discussion points to use with your child or friends when they question the relationship between Faith and the secular science-based world. MAGNIFICAT Este programa de formación de fe es para
todas las personas que desean aprender más sobre su fe católica. Por medio de clases de
teología enseñadas por maestros especializados sobre diferentes temas, mejorará su crecimiento espiritual y
estudiará en profundidad los aspectos pastorales y teológicos de nuestra fe. Esto
despertará en cada uno de nosotros el deseo de servir al Señor siendo Discípulos
Misioneros.
Somos Testigos del Amor de Dios en los distintos ministerios que servimos, y
continuamos aprendiendo a enseñar nuestros programas catequéticos a los niños.

Nuevos Programas Añadiendo
la Ciencia en Nuestra Fe
Este año, nos complace ofrecer 7 Módulos Esenciales desarrollados por el Padre Robert
Spitzer del Instituto Magis que toman en cuenta los 4 mitos seculares que actualmente amenazan la fe de nuestra juventud en la Iglesia Católica:
1. La ciencia ha probado que Dios no existe. 2. El sufrimiento es prueba de que Dios no existe. Si Dios fuera todo amor y todo poderoso podría detener el sufrimiento. 3. Los humanos son como otros animales – un montón de átomos y moléculas conglomerados – no hay prueba de ninguna "alma" transcendente en nosotros. 4. No existe prueba alguna de que Jesús fue alguien especial y ciertamente no divino. No hay prueba de su existencia o de su resurrección – sólo mitos.
En cada clase de Magnificat, añadimos una 2da sesión que examinará los Módulos Esenciales
que le proporcionarán puntos de discusión para usar con sus hijos o amigos cuando cuestionan la relación entre la fe y el mundo secular basado en la ciencia. Únase a nosotros para descubrir este
