MUSEO DE HISTORIA NATURAL

(COLEGIO DE CRISTO)

Está ubicado en el Ecoparque los Yarumos. En su género es uno de los más antiguos del Departamento de Caldas. Se encuentran exhibidos más de 155 ejemplares de aves, 31 mamíferos, 120 especies de mariposas, además de algunos ofidios y otras variedades animales.

Ubicado en la Cra 21 No 13-02. Cuenta con una importante colección de obras en su mayoría pinturas, dibujos, obras gráficas, esculturas y fotografías de artistas de gran trayectoria y reconocimiento a nivel regional y nacional.

Se muestra ante la sociedad, como una alternativa cultural y educativa para la socialización y comprensión de la ciencia, y el reconocimiento de las tecnologías autóctonas, por medio de procesos lúdicos. La sala de exposiciones cuenta con 50 módulos de matemática, física, ingeniería, juegos y percepción.

Este museo se encuentra ubicado en la Calle 65 No 26-10. La colección que tiene el Museo corresponde a una muestra de naturaleza muerta

consistente en fósiles, flora y fauna. Muestra cinco imágenes donde se representan diferentes ecosistemas pertenecientes al gran mosaico ecológico del país, entre éstos, el del río Magdalena, el del Parque Natural de los Nevados, las aves acuáticas de los Llanos Orientales, la fauna que rodea a la ciudad de Manizales y destaca también un grupo de pavos reales originarios de la India.

NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

This museum is located on 65th Street No. 26-10. The collection held in the museum is a sample of still life nature consisting of fossils, flora and fauna. Shows five images which represent different ecosystems belonging to the ecological mosaic of the country, among them, the Magdalena River, the Natural Park of the Snowy Alps (Los Nevados), waterfowl of the Eastern Plains, the wildlife that surrounds the city of Manizales and also highlights a group of real peacocks originally from India.

El Museo del Oro del Banco de la República exhibe en sus salas del segundo y tercer piso una extraordinaria muestra de sus colecciones de orfebrería prehispánica, las mayores del mundo. Los objetos del metal sagrado para las culturas indígenas, junto con otros objetos arqueológicos de cerámica, piedra, concha, madera y textil, dan testimonio de la vida y el pensamiento de distintas sociedades que ocuparon el territorio colombiano antes del contacto con Europa.

GOLD MUSEUM BANK OF THE REPUBLIC

Its second and third floor halls exhibit an extraordinary sample of their Prehispanic goldsmithing collection, the biggest of the world. The sacred metal objects of indigenous cultures, along with other archeological ceramic, seashell, wood, and textile objects, give testimony of life and represent thoughts of the different societies that occupied Colombian territory before European contact.

Shown to society as a cultural and educational a l te rna t i ve fo r soc ia l i za t ion , s c ience comprehension and recognition of indigenous technologies through ludicrous processes. The expositions hall has 50 modules including math, physics, engineering, games, and perception.

The Archeological Museum develops education and community outreach work through expositions, workshops, prevention courses, as well as archaeological and heritage conservation. Also offers library and ceramic workshops.

The auditorium is located at the headquarters of Versailles, street 50 and route 25, has a capacity of 262 chairs.

TEATRO LOS FUNDADORES

Construido en el año 1959 por 10 meritorios arquitectos de la capital caldense, quienes se consagraron durante muchísimo tiempo a estudiar la arquitectura teatral más completa, bajo la dirección del arquitecto Jorge Gutiérrez Duque. Es considerado como uno de los mejores de Latinoamérica por su magnitud e infraestructura técnica, con las facilidades de elementos que permiten representar toda clase de obras artísticas. Fue inaugurado en el año de 1965 y sometido a remodelación y reforzamiento desde el año 2004, lo cual permitió convertir esta gran obra en un centro de convenciones que se cuenta entre los más modernos y bien dotados del país, con instalaciones adecuadas para recibir cerca de 2.000 visitantes.

Built in 1959 by 10 worthy architects of the Caldas capital, who were devoted for a very long time to studying the most complete Theatre Architecture under the direction of architect Jorge Gutiérrez Duque. Considered one of the best in Latin America for its magnitude and technical infrastructure, with facilities elements that allowed the representation of all kinds of artistic creations.It was inaugurated in 1965, remodeled and reinforced since 2004, which allowed the conversion of this great work of art into a convention center that accounts within the most modern and country blessed, with adequate installations to receive nearly 2,000 visitors.

Conservación y conocimiento de la biodiversidad vegetal con el propósito de obtener elementos que propendan por el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de la población, aseguren sustentabilidad de los procesos ecológicos esenciales en los ecosistemas y generen una nueva ética ecológica ciudadana.Posee una colección de plantas herborizadas con más de 15 mil especies existentes, una colección de insectos con cerca de 450 especies, una colección de hongos con más de cien mil ejemplares. Su extensión comprende un área de 7 hectáreas distribuidas en las siguientes zonas:Orquídeorama, Etnobotánica, Invernaderos ,Zona Social Didáctica, Viveros, Senderos Ecológicos, Selva Andina,Agricultura no Contaminante, Arboretum, Zona de Reserva


Conservation and knowledge of plant biodiversity in order to obtain elements that trend by improving the quality of life of the population ensuring sustainability of essential ecological processes in ecosystems and creating a new citizen ecological ethic.It has a collection of herbarium plants with more than 15,000 existing species, a collection of insects with about 450 species, a fungal culture collection of over one hundred thousand specimens.
