On 13 th of February we went to Ibercaja Cultural Center. There was a music group called “Los Misterios”. In the group

there were three boys and a girl telling the history of music and singing. One boy played the guitar and sang. Another boy played

the drums. And the last one played the double bass.

First we only listened to music. But later we danced to rock, pop, heavy metal, disco and jazz.

We liked this activity a lot because it was very funny.

The group: “Los Misterios”

And the public

Enjoy the show!

We decided to write about London because last week we did different activities to learn about this city.

London is the capital of England and the UK. England is a part of an island called Great Britain with Scotland and Wales.

Great Britain and Northern Ireland are the United Kingdom.

London is a very big city and it has got lots of famous places:

Big Ben, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, London Bridge, Cleopatra’s Needle, Westminster Bridge, Tower of London, Buckingham palace…

In this city there are lots of museums:Madame Tussauds, Natural History Museum, National Gallery, Victoria and Albert museum, Science museum, Royal Observatory…

There are many beautiful parks too:

Hyde Park, Green Park, Regents park, Saint James park, Kensington gardens…

Other typical places are:Soho, Wimbledon, China town, Oxford Street, London Aquarium, Greenwich, theatres, pubs…

If you are in London, you can also visit other cities like Oxford, Cambridge or York

Learning about London What a beautiful city!

On the 8th of February, forty-six students and three teachers from our school went on the white week. We went to Jaca by bus. That day we took the ski equipment. We slept in the “Bucardo” hotel, it was only for us and we had breakfast and dinner in the “Mur” hotel. Every morning we went to Candanchú to have our ski lesson. We had lunch in Candanchú too. In the afternoon we went skiing in groups of three people or more.

On Monday afternoon we went shopping in Jaca.On Tuesday evening we went to the ice rink and we skated. On Wednesday we didn’t go skiing because it was snowing very hard. So we had a “snow war” and made a snowman. We went to a shopping centre and we bought things for the football match (Spain vs. England) and for the rest of the week.

On Thursday, after dinner, we went to “Zengus” bowling, Paula was the winner (88 points) and she got a trophy. Then, in the hotel, all of us got honorary prizes.

On Friday we went home. We arrived in Zaragoza at quarter past five.

This is the best week in the school year!

It’s fantastic!

Last week we worked on the Solar System. We discovered important information about this topic.

The Solar System is a planetary system of the Milky Way galaxy. It consists of a single star called the Sun which gives its name to this system, eight planets, moons, asteroids, comets, dust and gas. The planets, asteroids and comets travel around the Sun, the centre of our Solar System.

The names of the planets are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Mercury is the nearest planet to the Sun.

Venus is also known as the morning star.

We live on the Earth. This is the only planet where there is life. There is a moon around the Earth. Mars is the red planet.

Jupiter is biggest planet.

Saturn has got a ring around it.

Uranus is very cold and was the first planet discovered using a telescope.

Neptune has got eight moons and it is blue.

Every student prefers a different planet but we agree on an important idea: we must take care of the Earth!
