VIRTUAL CATECHESIS CONVOCATION As the world goes through mes of uncertainty, there is a group of our friends who have been relessly seeking new alterna ves and assistance for the parish cateche cal programs, from home or from their offices in the Archdiocese of Newark. The archdiocesan cateche cal team has offered to the leaders and directors of the area their support with workshops and countless resources in which we are working today. This new way of reaching our children, youth and adults through digital media is not easy for anyone, not even for

the students who are the most proficient in this cyberne c language; and today we can see catechists of all ages who have found their students where they are, on social media, in virtual rela onships. For more evidence of what the Office of Catechesis is doing, they announced the expected massive event of our Archdiocese, The Catechesis Convoca on, now virtually, an event that goes beyond the limits of our Diocese. Keep in mind when coming to Mass Our Churches in the Archdiocese of Newark, and our own Parish of St. Joseph’s of the Palisades: • Fully in accord with the direc ves of our governor of New Jersey, and our Archbishop Cardinal Tobin the following are the guidelines in order to a end Mass and ensure that our church building is safe for all.

Daily Mass: With strict guidelines, and if fully prepared to do so, parishes of the Archdiocese, may open churches with the required guidelines: 1. Not more than 150 people may a end Mass at any one me. 2. All must wear masks; 3. All must maintain six feet of separa on from one another; 4. Communion distributed only in the hand. 5. Those who may be vulnerable to the virus, those 60+ years old, recently or chronically ill, etc., encouraged to

stay home and view Mass through social media.

CONVOCATORIA DE CATEQUESIS Mientras el mundo atraviesa momentos de incer dumbre, hay un grupo de amistades nuestras que incansablemente han estado buscando nuevas alterna vas y ayudas para los programas parroquiales de catequesis, desde casa o desde sus oficinas en la Arquidiócesis de Newark, el equipo catequé co arquidiocesano, brindo a los lideres y directores del área su apoyo con sendos talleres e innumerables fuentes de consulta en lo que hoy estamos trabajando. Esta nueva manera de llegar a nuestros niños, jóvenes y adultos a través de los medios digitales no es fácil para nadie, ni siquiera para los estudiantes que son los que más dominan este lenguaje ciberné co; y hoy podemos ver a catequistas de todas las edades que han encontraron a sus catequizando allí donde ellos están, en las redes sociales, en la relación virtual. Para más evidencia de lo que está haciendo la Oficina de Catequesis, hoy nos anuncian el siempre esperado evento mul tudinario de nuestra Arquidiócesis, La Convocatoria de Catequesis, y ahora virtual, evento que sale del límite de nuestra Diócesis, es más, está abierto a recibir par cipantes de todo el país. Tener en cuenta para asisi r a las Misas Nuestras Iglesias en la Arquidiócesis de Newark y nuestra propia Parroquia de San José de las Palisades: De acuerdo con las direc vas de nuestro gobernador de Nueva Jersey, y nuestro Arzobispo Cardenal Tobin, las siguientes son las pautas para asis r a la misa y asegurar que nuestro edificio de la iglesia este seguro para todos.

• Misa Diaria Con direc vas estrictas, y si están completamente preparadas para hacerlo, las parroquias de la Arquidiócesis, pueden abrir.

Direc vas requeridas: 1. No más de 150 personas pueden asis r a la Misa en cualquier momento. 2. Todos deben usar máscaras; 3. Todos deben mantener seis pies de separación entre sí; 4. La comunión será distribuida solo en la mano. 5. Aquellos que pueden ser vulnerables al virus, personas mayores de 60 años, enfermos recientemente o con

enfermedades crónicas, etc., deben permanecer en casa y ver la Misa a través de las redes sociales.
