The obsolescence of the industrial areas in Goierri highlights the instability of a generic model urban distan-ced from the slow and com-plex social transformations. The process of resource con-sumption-industrial produc-tion is presented as an open-cycle that must find a way to close to be sustained. The strategy supports reversing the direction of the process, by means of supra-reusing (upcycling) industrial infras-tructures as technological means capable of projecting a socio-economic process of environmental production and dissemination over the territory. Reuse of industrial pollution now becomes the raw material consumption of new “ecosocial factories” that will return the natural re-sources that had been taken before.Boundaries and preconcei-ved labels of architecture are diluted, building a dormant infrastructural landscape with urban energy available for its manipulation, and capable of absorbing elastically the ti-mes and changes of the social activity. Collective actions will give specificity to the urban model through natural and artificial devices of urban co-lonization, being able to de-bug the landscape and, thus, creating favorable conditions for social cohesion at each position in space-time line.

Ubeda is a very important historical city, not only because of its Renaissance architecture, but also for the surrounding landscape that is introduced in the city. Vázquez de Molina Square, where Marqués de Mancera Palace is located, was a complex urban intervention in order to represent the new power area. Marqués de Mancera Palace, built in the 17th century, is part of the prototype of the contemporary governmental architecture. The tower on the corner highlights its importance and reflects the influence of the Moorish architecture. The rest of the palace is built around it throughout the following years, always remaining a backyard which has evolved from cemetery to garden, parking or access to the building .This work aims to develop a hypothesis to explain the historical setting of Marqués de Mancera Palace and the urban traces in which it is inserted. Thereafter we identify and keep the true architectural elements to their subsequent restoration, and, finally, we suggest a recycling project to transform the palace into a complementary building to the adjacent Municipal Court.

The project is located on the shore of the Negratín reservoir, specifically in the Zújar Thermal Baths. The Altiplano de Granada, which is located in the nothern part of the mentioned province, is a territory of contrasts, where you can go through one of the most arid steppes in the country and suddenly be surrounded by an amazing green landscape. In the site project we can see how nature appears in layers (water, clay, scrub, vegetation, sky), so the future intervention should respect these environmental deteminants. In addition, this place has an important historical burden, currently almost impercepti-ble. After a thorough study of its historical development, the project idea consists of recovering and reinterpreting the existing traces, and particularly reestablishing the connection between the Zújar Thermal Baths and the monastery “La Granja”. Con-sequently, it is necessary to create an itinerary that res-tores the value of the existing infrastructure, keeping in mind both the landscape and the topography. The functional program consists of a visitor centre (exhibition area, thermal baths, restaurant, offices), accommodation, an activity centre, and a documentation centre.

The study area is called “Zona Norte”, and it is an expansion district of the city with a rural society inserted in an urban habitat. The adjacent neighborhoods have an intricate urban configuration, which favors its isolation from the rest of the city. It predominates a marginal population, with an alarming lack of education and limited resources. It is also important to underline the terrible urban planning that the local government has carried out here. The Partial Plan should mainly include housing, sport and education facilities, and green areas, as well as the intention to reestablish the value of the 800 level route, a itinerary around the city which links this zone to the “Alhambra”.The proposed partial plan is built around an infrastructure network which tries to connect the project area to the rest of the city. It aims to provide internal spaces that encourage neighborly relationship. The continuous presence of people will avoid crime and bad habits: a space with traffic of people will always be a safer space. These spaces will be distributed throughout the intervention area, connected between them by means of a green pedestrian street and a commercial one.

The intervention is develo-ped in London, particularly in a degraded area in which converge an obsolete industry and a marginal neighbourhood with several ethnic groups. The celebra-tion of the Olympic Games in 2012 is an extraordinary opportunity for the district of Bromley by Bow (next to the sport facilities) to get a great qualitative leap. The project is performed in a block where there is an art center (Limehouse Art Foundation) sorrounded by an abandoned industrial infrastructure. The design aims to make the most of these pre-existing buildings, keeping those that are valid in order to address the cu-rrent use towards a cultural and artistic one that could support the LAF centre. The project will be articulated by the existing traces, as well as it will make an effort to open towards the river system, which is being regenerated at the urban level. Thus, the intervention consists of a series of open and closed spaces that contain the di-fferent uses of the functional program: indoor and outdoor exhibition area, conference room, accommodation for art students, museum, audiovisual production school, shop and bookstore, a canoes stand, and a bar-restaurant.

Borgo Pinti is one of the main roads in the north-south axis of the historical centre of Florence. It is one of the oldest streets in the city, so a lot of palatial-houses of the most important families were placed here (e.g. the sixteenth century Roffia Palace or the fifteenth century Marzichi-Lenzi Palace). After an analysis of the historical evolution of the road from the eleventh century to the present, the work objective is a survey of the street elevation to evaluate its current condition: materials, colours, degradation level and a catalogue of the characteristic architectural elements. After this initial study, we focus on the building that it is considered in the worst conditions. The intervention suggests a rehabilitation strategy: a restitution of the typical elements of the Florence centre, as well as a restoration of the exterior and interior deteriorated components. In this case, it is completely necessary to proceed to an underpinning of the existing foundation, a load-bearing wall shoring, and a restoration and structural reinforcement of the wooden floors, with rotten and deformed ceiling joists.
