Building on the Review DataFROM SURVEY MONKEY

The Data

I have asked 16 participants from ages 17-18, 7 questions that would help me build on my film and help me improve it to a professional film standard and also help me improve it so it would be more enjoyable to the viewer to watch.

Page 4: Presentation 255 2 1

Q.1: In a Horror movie who do you want the main character to be paired with? I asked this question because I wanted to know "who or if" the viewers wanted the main

character to have, Do they want him to venture in alone or with a partner, explore the creepy basement with friends or siblings that was the point of this question survey.

And from this survey I have found out that 5 of the 16 participants wanted the main character to venture alone but it was beat by "Friends" Option with 6 out of the 16

participants voting for it but from the results I have found out that either the main character is good with

going "Alone" but would be more favorable by the viewers if there was "Friends involved"

@:Shows me that I should consider adding more

characters to the film:@

Q.2:What kind of setting do you think our horror movie is? With this question I wanted to find out if the audience knew what kind of setting our film

was going for which is "Haunted Building Setting" from the Data that I have gathered I have found out.

That 56.25% of the audience knew what kind of setting we were going for without us explaining it for me this is useful

because I know the audience is not confused on what kind of setting this film is and are clear on it the other most

favorable choice from the survey was a "Domestic Setting" with 37.50%

@:Shows me that I do not need to baby the

audience:@

Q.3:If you knew our film was based on real life events would it appeal to you more? With this question I intended to find out would it appeal to the audience if they knew that

our film was based on real life events because I also wanted to know if it would scare them more because they know something like "That" existed or the "Backstory" really happened

And from the data I have found out that "Yes" the film would appeal to the "Audience" more if the knew that the film was based on "Real

Life Event" more than if it was fictional because

@:This shows me that I have to add a transition with a title saying "Story Based on

Real Life Events":@

Q.4:Would you like more or less grusome aspects within our horror movie (E.G. Blood,Gore,Weapons Ect)With this question I wanted to know if the audience wanted to see more "Gore" and more "Blood" to make it more graphic from the 16 participants 12 of them ~75%~ wanted more blood within the film

Which tells me a lot because the vast majority wanted more blood in the film which tells me that it's now crucial to have a

lot more blood in the film

@:Add More Blood Scenes and Effects to

make the film scarier:@

Q.5:How did our Horror movie make you feel

I asked this question because I wanted to know the overall effect of the film and how it made the audience feel with the results saying that it made them feel

3 of them scared 5 anxious 1 other saying "why was the boy in detention" I believe this is in the confused

pile which makes me aware that the boy needs a back story to the film opening and why he is in detention

@:Add a Backstory to the boy on why he is

in detention:@

Q.6:This Film needs a Certificate what would you give it from the opening you saw This is valuable information for me because I need to know from what age I have to

market the film to because every certificate has different type of marketing

I have learned that my film would be marked for a certificate of 15 and that I would have to market towards that age group

because 10 out of 16 participants ~66.67%~ have voted for that option

@:If I want to increase the certificate I would have to add

more gore swearing and violence:@

Q.7:Why P.T 1 This is the Second part of "Q.6" and this is what people have said referring to Q.7

"small amounts of blood and not graphic enough to be an 18.

probably uses more of a foul language

aspect for it to be a 15 rather than gore"

"The content in the movie really gives

people a fright and as a result is dominated

with nasty stuff"

"If it had more blood and gore it would be a 15. However if it

was just a supernatural horror I think it would be a

15"

"I don't think there was enough gore the

movie for it to be rated a 15 there is also only a small amount of jump

scares"

Page 11: Presentation 255 2 1

Q.7:Why P.T 2

With this question I will find out what do I need to add to the film for my film to get 18 certificate

I have found out that I need to add a lot more gore to the film and violence with swearing for my film to be 18 certified and I

have found out what I will need to do to get it

@:Add a lot more blood to the film use

on almost every scene and make the character swear:@
