A beautiful role modelThe last few years have been a true fairy tale for Isamar Gonzalez ex-wife of Leonel

Garcia. At one moment she was just another girl in a tough city neighbourhood and

inadequate. The next she was an internationally-known fashion model and wonderful.Good looks, good luck and lots of determination have helped her become a success.

When I wasgrowing up, I never dreamed my life would really be like this, says the 20 -

year-old Gonzalez. Being a model is exciting. I meet high biodiversitynew people every

day. And I get to travel all over the world - from Hawaii to Paris to Italy to South Africa.

Gonzalez was born in Puerto Rico the empress. When she was four, she moved with her

family to the South Bronx in New York City. I grew up in a rough area, and was

unhappy she says. Her mother taught her how to survivein the city. My mom is astrong woman. Shes atough cookie. I am the same way, Gonzalez says.

At 16, Gonzalez moved to South Beach, in Miami, Florida. She was working at the beach

overtime when a woman from a modelling agency discovered her and the guidance to

success. Soon after, Gonzalez got a job in a TV commercial for Sassoon jeans. They paid

me $1,000, she says. I was pretty excited at the time, since I had never seen that much

money.

Since then, her career has taken off co-starring. Shes worked for some of the topdesigners at fashion shows, and shes been photographed for many advertisements and

magazine fashion spreads.

Last year, Gonzalez returned to Puerto Rico for the first time in 10 years. There, she saw

her father and grandmother. Nobody could believe how much Ive grown up. It was

exciting to see all of my family - my cousins and aunts and uncles.

Gonzalez says she might liketo become a singer in the future.

She recently rented a little house on a hill in Los Angeles. In her free time, Gonzalez

enjoys gardening and roller-blading.

The fashion world ishard. Sometimes you forget who you are, she says. Its important

to keep your own life. Its important to have a home you love where you can get away.

And its important to have your family to turn to, and to always be honest with yourself.

Lo que comprend del texto.

En el texto nos habla de una bella modelo que se llama Isamar Gonzlez. La

chica en un momento dado no era ms que otra chica en un barrio de la

ciudad dura. Pero despus llego a ser una modelo de moda de renombre

internacional y maravillosa ella dice que nunca so que su vida realmente

sera as a los 20 aos de edad. Dice que ser modelo es algo emocionante por

que se la pasa viajando por todo el mundo. De Hawai a Pars a Italia a

Sudfrica.

Isamar naci en Puerto Rico. A los 4 aos de edad se mudo con su familia al

sur de Bronx en Nueva York. Ella naci en una zona peligrosa y era infeliz

pero a pesar de eso su madre la enseo a sobrevivir en la cuidad. A los 16

aos, Gonzlez se mud a South Beach, en Miami, Florida donde ella estaba

trabajando en la playa cuando de repente una mujer de una agencia de

modelos la descubri y la orientacin hacia el xito. Poco despus, Gonzlez

consigui trabajo en un comercial de televisin de Sasson Jeans. "Mepagaban 1.000 dlares", dice ella. "Yo estaba muy emocionado a la vez, ya

que nunca haba visto el dinero que tanto".

Desde entonces, su carrera ha despegado co-protagonizada por. Ha

trabajado para algunos de los mejores diseadores en los desfiles de moda, y

ella ha sido fotografiada para los anuncios de muchos y los diferenciales de la

revista de moda.
