The South American Classification Committee is an officialcommittee of the American Ornithologists' Unionwhose mission isto create a standard classification, with English names, for the birdspecies of South America. This classification is subject to constantreision b! the proposal s!stem to allow incorporation of new data.The SACC hopes to hae this classification published as a printeddocument within a !ear or so.
