La Diada de Sant Jordi is a special day in Catalonia as Sant Jordi is the patron of
Catalonia.It is celebrated in every town
in the country!It is the day of lovers, friends
and culture.It is a very romantic day!
We celebrate this feast on the
23rd
of April!
Because it is the day of the Patron Saint of Catalonia.
It is a coincidence that also it is the anniversary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes, the most famous Spanish
writer, and Shakespeare.This lead to celebrate the Book day!
The day of love also is the day of literature in the mind of population.
People give one
another a rose or a
book.
There are rose

bookstands all over
the country!
