Por tierra, mar y aire, la Costa del Sol puede presumir de incentivos inagotables.
Y es que cuando se habla de turismo de sol y playa, los que gustan de ir más allá de
las apariencias tienen a sus pies un mundo extraño y fascinante: el fondo marino.
On land, sea and air the Costa del Sol can shows off its endless charms.For those that want more than sun and beach tourism, there is a strangeand fascinating world to be found: the marine seabed.

Como en la superficie, en las entrañas del Mediterráneoexiste un patrimonio incalculable y maravilloso. Elmundo submarino ofrece tantos alicientes que se le
ha venido en denominar el sexto continente. La Costa del Solgoza de gran interés geológico y riqueza biológica, tanto deflora como de fauna.
Se puede contemplar en su ecosistema a todo tipo de pecesy crustáceos, siendo los más comunes estrellas de mar,congrios, morenas, tortugas o pulpos, pero también esposible el avistamiento de cetáceos.
Otro de los incentivos es la exploración de pecios, barcos detodas las épocas históricas desde los fenicios hasta nuestrosdías (en Estepona hay un barco hundido en 2011), quenaufragaron y se han posado en el lecho mediterráneo. Enmiles de años se ha creado una cartografía cultural taninteresante y cuajada como en tierra firme.
Uno de las más célebres y exuberantes zonas del buceoespañol se encuentra entre Nerja y Almuñécar: La Herradura,Cerro Gordo, Cantarriján, Punta de la Mona... Pero en el litoralnetamente malagueño hay sitios de enorme interés. EnEstepona, el Arrecife de la Perla; en San Pedro, el asequiblegaleón francés, el Lys, y el más complicado Placer de lasBóvedas; en Marbella, para todos los públicos, la Torre del
Cable, con la Virgen del Carmen de testigo; entreFuengirola y Mijas, el pecio Menapier; en Benalmádena,Laja de Torre Bermeja.
Conviene, con todo, adecuarse a cada inmersión según ladificultad que entraña cada recorrido. Básicamente unbuceador iniciado puede llegar hasta los 20 metros deprofundidad, el buceador avanzado serpentea entre los20 y los 30 metros, además de en cuevas subacuáticas ymás allá de los 30 metros los buceadores han de contarcon aptitudes técnicas.
Principiantes o expertos, todos disfrutan en una costapracticable casi todo el año. Con puros fines recreativos, hayquienes sienten una paz indescriptible mientras sesumergen. Los buceadores más avezados buscan superarseen grutas o exigentes itinerarios. Y otra de las actividadesmás retadoras y gratificantes es la fotografía subacuática.
Son innumerables las escuelas y clubes de submarinismoa lo largo de los 160 km de litoral de la Costa del Sol,prácticamente hay una en cada municipio costero. En casitodos los casos los centros suelen exhibir la licencia dePADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors), laasociación internacional más importante para lacertificación de la aptitud buceadora.

T here is an uncalculable and marvellous heritage tobe found, not only on land but also within theMediterranean. The submarine world is so luring, that
it has been known to be called the sixth continent. TheCosta del Sol oozes with ecological interest and biologicalrichness, as well as flora and fauna.
You can study and examine all sorts of fish and crustaceansin its ecosysytem. The most commonly seen being starfish,congor eels, morenas, turtles or octopus, and you maypossibly catch a view of cetaceans.
Another idea is to explore the shipwrecks, boats from everyhistorical period since the Fenicias up to our times (inEstepona a boat actually sank in 2011) have beenshipwrecked and settled on the Mediterranean’s bed. Aftermillions of years a cultural cartogrophy has been created, thatis interesting and crammed with facts.
One of the most well known and abundant areas for spanishdiving can be found between Nerja and Almuñecar: LaHerradura, Cerro Gordo, Cantarriján, Punta de laMona….However, on the Málaga coastline there are alsoplaces of great interest. In Estepona, the Arrecife de la Perla; inSan Pedro the accessable French galleon named The Lys,and the more complicated Placer de las Bóvedas in Marbella.
Open to all public is the Torre del Cable, with The Virgen delCarmen as its witness; between Fuengirola and Mijas isMenapier and in Benalmadena, Laja de Torre Bermeja.
It is important that you are prepared for every diveaccording to the level of difficulty involved in each trip.Basically a beginner diver can dive up to 20 metres down,whereas an advanced diver could get down to between 20and 30 metres, as well as being in underwater caves andto get lower than that the diver would have to have hadtechnical training.
Whether you are a beginner or an expert, everyone canenjoy the coast nearly the whole year through. This can bea sport to purely enjoy yourself, as some describe thefeeling of submersion as an indescribeable peace. Themore advanced divers try to exceed and improve their divesin caves and on complicated routes. Another very satisfyingand challenging activity is underwater photography.
There are countless diving schools and clubs along the160km of the Costa del Sol coast, practically one in everycoastal town. Nearly always, the centres have a PADIlicence on display (Professional Association of DivingInstructors) this being the most important internationalassociation of diver training certificates.

IMPUESTO SOBRE EL PATRIMONIO VS EMPRESAS - WEALTH TAX VERSUS COMPANIES012
La crisis ha traído la reinstauración del impuesto sobre elpatrimonio para los años 2011 y 2012, declaración obligatoria
para todos los Residentes y No Residentes en España.
En la Costa del Sol viven muchos extranjeros que se califican comono residentes asimismo, pero ¿son realmente no residentes? ¿Lesconvendría ser residentes?
El nuevo impuesto sobre el patrimonio grava a todos aquellos quetienen un patrimonio superior a 700.000 euros, incluyendo los noresidentes por su vivienda en España, ya que estos, no puedencalificar su vivienda como “habitual”, estando por tanto obligadosa realizar su declaración por el impuesto sobre la renta ypatrimonio.
A veces se desconoce que la Ley les hace residentes en Españapor vivir aquí durante más de 183 días al año o por tener enEspaña su centro de negocios. Si alguno cumple una de estascondiciones entonces será considerado residente en España ytendrá que hacer su declaración como cualquier español,tributando por su renta mundial.
En algunos casos, ser “residente fiscal” puede ser bueno, cosaque por cierto, no tiene nada que ver con estar empadronado. Elresidente fiscal tiene una reducción de 300.000 euros en elimpuesto sobre el patrimonio por su vivienda habitual en España,por lo que podría no tener que pagar este impuesto.
El pagar hipoteca mensualmente también deduce en ladeclaración de la renta y patrimonio, así como las mejoras de lavivienda habitual si cumplen algunos requisitos (por ejemplo, quese destinen a la mejora energética u otros suministros).
Una forma de evitar el pago de este impuesto es la creación deempresas, la constitución de una sociedad limitada actualmente esposible realizarla en tan solo 24 horas, lo que sin duda ayuda a laactividad económica del país.
Las sociedades también pueden ser una buena vía de escape parareducir la tributación del Impuesto sobre Sucesiones, pues cuandollega el momento de heredar y pagar este tributo es importantesaber que depende de las Comunidades Autónomas y queAndalucía no ha reducido los porcentajes cuando heredanpersonas físicas.
Lo mejor que pueden hacer nuestros no residentes (y también losresidentes españoles), es visitar a su asesor fiscal o abogado paracomprobar cuál es su estado actual, quien además podrá ayudarlea cumplir con sus obligaciones tributarias.
IMPUESTO SOBRE EL PATRIMONIO Vs EMPRESAS

There are many foreigners living on the Costa del Sol who callthemselves non residents, but are they really non residents?and would it be in their interests to be residents?
The newly reintroduced Wealth Tax affects all those who haveestate with a value over 700,000 euros, including the nonresidents who have a property in Spain, as they cannot callthis their “main home” and therefore they are obliged tomake their tax declaration for income tax and wealth tax.
Sometimes it is forgotton that the law actually converts thenon residents to residents just for living in Spain for morethan 183 days in a year or for having a business basedin Spain. You will be automatically considered a Spanishresident if you have a business or spend more than 183days in Spain and you will therefore have to make your taxdeclaration for your worldwide assets just the same as aSpanish national would.
In some cases, being a “fiscal resident” can actually begood-however this is not to be confused with registeringyourself at the local town hall and being “empadronado”. Thefiscal resident is entitled to a deduction of 300,000 euros ontheir Wealth Tax for having their “main home”in Spain, whichcould mean you would not need to pay this tax at all.
Mortgage payments are also deducted on the Income andWealth Tax declaration, as would be improvements on yourmain home if they are according to requirements (for exampleif they are energy saving or similar).
One way to avoid paying these is to create a company, theconstitution of an SL company is possible in just 24 hours andwhich of course helps the economic climate in Spain.
An SL company is also a good escape route to reduce theInheritance Succession Tax because if you are inheritingsomething you will pay this tax and it is important to knowthat each particular province has its own rates and Andaluciahas not reduced its percentages when an individual inherits.
The best thing our non residents, and Spanish nationals shoulddo is to visit a Tax Consultant or lawyer to check their actualcurrent status and to help them comply with their tributaryobligations.
