There are two ways to ask for things in Spanish
1. Querer- to wantEjemplo:

This is a perfectly fine way of asking for something, but if you really want to be polite…
2. Me gustería- I would likeEjemplo:
Me gustaría viajar a ColumbiaI would like to go to Columbia
Me gustería dos tacos y un refrescoI would like two tacos and a soda
This a a more polite way of asking for something. Use it with “Usteds” or if you want to ask for something very
nicely and get your way
En grupos de dosWrite four sentences each about the wishes and

Secondary Verbs: pensar, viajar, comer, beber, ir, ser…

There are some phrases in Spanish that describe one’s state of being
that use TENER (to have) instead of a “to be” verb.

These expressions combine the verb Tener with a noun, such as hambre (hunger) or sed (thirst)
Nouns have number and gender, right?
Ok, so that means that hambre, sed, calor, etc. all have gender. If
you want to say you are very hungry, or a little hungry, use
mucho/a or poco/a…but it MUST agree in gender with
the noun.
Masculine Nouns:miedo, frío, calor, sueño
Ejemplos:tengo mucho miedo
tengo poco fríotengo mucho calortengo poco sueño
Feminine nouns:hambre, prisa, sed
Ejemplos:tengo mucha hambre
