• Origen de trombosis arterial: hipohialinosis/degeneración fibrinoide, y formación de ateromas de origen en vasos pequeños o en sitios más proximales

• Aparición de síntomas < 4,5 horas del inicio de tratamiento; si el tiempo exacto de aparición del ACV no se conoce, se define como la última vez que se conoce que el paciente estaba normal

• Realizar una tomografía cerebral de emergencia
• Si se confirma la hemorragia administrar plasma fresco congelado por via intravenosa a una dosis de 10-15 ml/Kg

• Si persiste el cuadro: Epinefrina 0.1%, 0.3 ml SC
