LENGU EXTR NJER
El dominio
de
lenguas distintas
a
la propia
se ha convertido en la
sociedad actual
en una
necesidad
y
en una aspiraci6n de un sector importante de la población,
a
las
que
el sistema educativo trata de responder
a lo
largo de
las
diferentes
etapas
educativas.
Queda patente, tanto
en
los
objetivos como
en la estruclura
de
Bachillerato,
[a
gran importancia que
se
otorga
a las
lenguas extranjeras.
Si
bien
el
primer
objetivo'del currículo del Bachillerato
es
Dominar la lengua
castellana... , el segundo objetivo
es
Expresarse
con
fluidez y corrección en una lengua
extranjera .
Consecuentemente, dentro de la organ ización del Bachillerato, entre las materias
comunes
obligatorias para todos los
alumnos
s91o
hay dos
que estén
presentes en
ambos cursos: la
lengua castellana
y
literatura,
y
la lengua extranjera.
Como
alumno que
accedes
al primer curso de Bachillerato llevas varios
años
estudiando
una
lengua
extranjera
y
debes
haber
adquirido
soltura
suficiente para
desenvolverte
en situaciones de
la
vida corriente. Por lo tanto, ahora el aprendizaje
ha
de
consistir
en una
prolongación, co nsolidación
y
especialización de
Ias capacidades
que
has adquirido
a
lo largo de estos
años.
En este sentido, los con tenidos el estudio de
la
lengua extranjera no difieren grandemente de los anteriores aunque
en
otro nivel
de
conocimiento, de capacidad
de
comunicación,
de
aná lisis y reflexión.
Por lo tanto, en este curso debes desarrollar al máximo tu autonornia con
respecto a tu propio
progreso,
de forma
que
puedas
controlar
tus
propias producciones
con
mayor
rigor, convirtiendo la lengua
en
un
instrumento
y
medio personalizado
de
comunicación,
en
su doble
vertiente
de producción y
de
comprensíon.
Por
Último
recuerda que
el
aprender una lengua extra-njera no so lo
sirv para
po er
expresarse comunicarse en ese idioma,
[o
cual
no
es
poco
y realmente puede
considerarse
un fin
en
si
mismo, sino que también contribuye
a tu
formación intelectual
general refonando tus capacidades cognitivas, desarrollando tu
propia
autonomía,
sí
como
ampliando
tus
horizontes
conocimientos
sobre culturas extranjeras, lo que te
permitirá una
mejor
comprensión vaIorac ion critica del
mundo
actual.

EL WORKBOOK
dernas del

Workbook
que

u

es
similar
a la
del

y
deberas realizar las actividades de
cada
unidad
una vez que hayas
linalizada
el estudio
de
la unidad correspondiente.
Otro
material
recomend ble
unque el libro
de
texto
tiene
un
pequeño glosario
con las palabras nuevas
de
cada
unidad
conviene que tengas
a
mano
un
buen diccionario. Lo encontraras Útil en numerosas
ocasiones, especialmente cuando escribas tus redacciones.
Existen prestigiosas editoriales
en
el mercado Oxíord, Longman,
Collins
Heinemann,
etc) que ofrecen diccionarios
de
gran calidad incluso diccionarios
online en
Internet.
ay
dos tipos de
diccionario: monolingües
es
decir, ingles-inglés)
que
te
explican
el significado
de Ia palabra en inglés, y diccionarios bilingües ingles-español, espafiol-inglés) que
te
traducen la
palabra
al
español
o
a l
ingles segun corresponda. Quizás para
alumnos que han
elegido la modalidad
a distancia
sea mas praclico utiIizar
un
diccionario bilingüe
que
los
saque
de
dudas
utilizando la lengua.materna. Sin embargo. si
en
el futuro tienes interés
en
seguir aumentando
tus
conocimientos de ingles, tampoco
estaria
mal pensar
en uno
monolingüe porque eslos te ayudan
a pensar
directamente
en ingles ir
acostumbrandote
a
no
traducir
cuando
hablas o escribes
en ingles.
Tambien
conviene
qu sepas
que en el
mercado
hay una gran variedad de libros de
lectura graduados
a
diferentes niveles
que te
ayudaran
a
practicar la lectura, aumentar tu
vocabulario y adquirir una mayor fluidez.
Si
observas que
necesitas
un
repaso gramatical
mas
profundo, existen exceIentes
gramáticas
que
permiten el
aprendizaje
autonomo porque disponen de
una parte teórica y
otra
de
ejercicios
con
