in that it can carry either round inserts with a

serrated cutting edge or regular round inserts.

There are our indexing options or the serrated

insert, while there are eight or the round.

One advantage o using ROUNDSPLIT

is that it produces small chips. The smaller

the chip, the less likely that it will be re-cut

TUNGDRILL TWISTED

Diameter Range 12.5 - 54 mm

TUNGDRILL TWISTED drills are versatile and

eature ast penetration, process security and long

lie. The extra-hardened chip defector is located

next to the cartridge where wear orces are the

most severe, thereby improving shank lie. Carbide

grades are durable or better surace quality and

prolonged edge lie in the peripheral inserts, which

experience the toughest conditions.

Twisted coolant holes pass through the drill

futes, leaving a clear uninterrupted fow o chips.

Due to this design, the drill is stronger and more

resistant to torsion.

DRILLMEISTER is a new amily o

drills that eature an improved head and pocket

design, no setup time, increased metal removal

rates and economical indexing.

DRILLMEISTERs revolutionary clamping

enables improved productivity output rates, and

in addition more insert indexes. The shank has a

unique design o twisted nozzles with a durable

and stably constructed body.

Four diferent standard geometries o indexable

heads are available or drilling steel, exotic

materials, cast iron or aluminum.

DRILLMEISTER has a unique pocket design

that takes good advantage o the cutting orces,

which are mechanically exerted upon the tool.

These orces are then converted into gripping orces

that are used or tightening the insert towards the

back o the pocket. More cutting orces are applied,

and thereore better gripping orces are obtained.

The clamping orces around the connection

area generate little strain, which prevents any

potential plastic deormation. Due to this,

at least triple the amount o head indexes

are provided.

A very substantial increase in productivity
