For the Jubilee of Mercy

The priests will be available for confessions on Monday, Wednesday and

Friday from 7:30 AM to 7:45 AM.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be prayed in the Church every Friday

during the Year of Mercy from 7:30 to 7:45 AM before the daily Mass.

As spiritual works of mercy, we would like to pray for all of our parish-

ioners in the military and for their families.

Increase your devotion to the Eucharist by participating in daily Mass or

visiting the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.

To help protect our children and vulnerable adults consider VIRTUS

training to see the warning signs.

Fingerprinting Sessions

The next fingerprinting session at

Old Mission Santa Ines will be

Friday, May 13, in the downstairs

conference room. Please call the

parish office to RSVP.

Holy Communion

In May we will be experimenting with

some different arrangements to see if

Holy Communion can proceed more

smoothly. Our one-aisle church limits

the possibilities, but we have a few

new ideas. For example, the liturgical

ministers who distribute the Eucharist

will take up positions in the back of

the church as well as at the altar, and

parishioners who are unable to come

forward because of infirmity will be

served first. The priest at each Mass

will provide guidance, and ushers will

direct communicants. Please be patient

while we try out different options.

Your feedback and suggestions are

welcome. This change will take ef-

fect next weekend, May 7 and 8.

Dates to remember:

Last day of classes for this year

are May 10 & 11.

First Communion practice in

the church Monday, May 9, at

6:30 PM, in English.

First Communion day is Satur-

day, May 14, (9:30 AM in Eng-

lish & 11:30 AM in Spanish.)

Hearing Loop

Receivers are available

at all Masses. Anyone

needing hearing assis-

tance at Mass can see an

usher. These are on loan and must be

returned after Mass. Loop buds are

available for purchase at a retail cost

of $69. For more information, call the

parish office.

Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
