Lo scultore Martino Landi al lavoro coni ferri del mestiere, nel laboratorio dovegrazie alla sua creatività, alla fantasia e alla passione, prendono forma le figu-re del Presepio. Nato a Lucca nel 1957, diplomato al Liceo Artistico eall'Accademia delle Belle Arti di Firenze vive a Luccadove insegna al Liceo Artistico.Martino Landi appartiene ad una famiglia di artistiche si sono dedicati all'arte sacra e alla scultura dellefigure per il presepio da ben quattro generazioni.

Created by the skilful hands of our sculptor, scholar ofsacred art, Martino Landi, the Moranduzzo Nativityfigures, bring back to life the atmosphere of the birth ofthe baby Jesus, capturing the attention of the publicwho come to see it, with the reality of the shapes andtraditional costumes faithfully reproduced in everyminute detail. The postures, the facial expressions, the softness of theclothes, the attention to detail and colours of the era,

make these creations unique, andwhich, being sold all over the world,have become collectable items over theyears, for the pleasure of old and youngalike, with respect to the tradition revivedto celebrate the best-loved of all festivals.

Made in ItalyOur figurines are made entirely in Italywith careful craftsmanship, and withdue respect to the fundamental rules ofsafety at work and with the materials.

The sculptor Martino Landi at workwith the tools of his trade, in the labora-tory, where, thanks to his creativity,imagination and passion, the figures of

the Nativity take shape. Born in Lucca in 1957, he gra-duated from the Liceo Artistico and the Accademiadelle Belle Arti in Florence, today he lives in Luccawhere he teaches at the Liceo Artistico. Martino Landi belongs to a family of artists who havededicated themselves to the sacred arts and sculpture ofnativity figures for four generations.

La lavorazione delle statuette che avviene completamen-te nel nostro stabilimento, sotto la guida del maestroMartino Landi, ha inizio dallo stampaggio per passarepoi alle varie fasi di lavoro: invecchiamento, colorazio-ne, eccetera fino al confezionamento.Ogni singola statuetta ha la sua storia, molte sonocompletamente lavorate a mano e sottoposte ai piùseveri controlli di qualità. Serve tempo ed esperienza perdonare ad ogni personaggio quel tocco speciale che lorende unico. Il tutto svolto con amore, da personale conesperienza decennale, secondo le antiche tradizioni arti-giane Italiane.

The handwork of sculptures is fully made in our wor-kshop under Martino Landi’s guidance. We start frompressing and go through all the other work phases:ageing, colouring, and so on till packaging. Each scul-pture has its own history; many of them are complete-ly hand-made. and then submitted to the most severequality tests. It needs time and experience to give eachfigure a special touch and make it unique.All this is lovely made by persons with a decennialexperience following the old traditions of the Italianhandicraft.
