HAIR & SCALP SPECIALIST

1995, Centro de Tecnología Capilar was set up in Barcelona in response to the growing interest in and

need for personal hair care.

Finding out more about the behaviour of a unique structure, hair, stirred our curiosity. Technology combined with the knowledge and enthusiasm of our team enabled Centro de Tecnología Capilar to

become a company specialising in hair.

Since then we have worked together with top brands in the hair cosmetics sector and laboratories have turned to us for their research into hair, powering the expansion of our R&D department.

The CTC team

We are a team of professionals, university graduates with backgrounds in biology, pharmacy, dermatology and analytical techniques - among other areas - with more than 20 years’ experience

in the sector.

We have experts in handling hair as well as a large panel of volunteers enabling us to gauge the market’s response to new challenges in cosmetics.

Who we work for

LEI·ILE

initiative

More and more companies in the hair cosmetics sector are seeking to differentiate their products.

At the same time, consumers are increasingly demanding in terms of information and the

benefits promised by cosmetic products, and this influences their purchasing decisions.

Here at CTC we design and implement customised projects to provide service and

support for R&D and Marketing departments in companies in the sector, by preparing differentiated positioning and arguments for their

products which are supported and validated by scientific and/or sensory tests.

Instrumental efficacy tests

Imaging tests These make it possible to obtain an image of the hair surface at different magnifications.

Quantitative tests These make it possible to obtain numerical results and draw up comparative graphs. The tests are carried out on locks of hair. They include, for example, tests of strength, breaking points, loss of colour, moisturisation, comb test, etc.
