Verbs Verbs are recognized in Spanish by their

ending. There are 3 types of verbs:

Examples: HABLAR, COMER, VIVIR

Verbs:

An unchanged verb is called an INFINITIVE

What other infinitives do you know?

Both in English and Spanish verbs CHANGE depending on the SUBJECT of the sentence.

This is called CONJUGATING a verb. In English it looks like this: verb = to talk

In Spanish each Subject Pronoun has its own form.

For AR verbs the endings go as follows:

The process of conjugating is simple. FIRST: Chop off the AR ending from the infinitive. What you have left is called your STEM.

SECOND: Add the ending that matches your subject to the stem.
