We are very happy to announce that we are close to completing the new multi-purpose facility. The process has been long and many people have been involved, and I want to thank each and every one of you. Last spring, we were on the verge of postponing construction. Even with a bank loan, the price of materials had risen so significantly we thought we would never be able to realize our dream. However, we were very blessed to have generous donors step forward and help us fill the gap in funding. As a result of this donation, the building name is being changed in honor of the Lopes family. Please join us on September 30, 2018, at 2 p.m., at the Lopes Orchards De Paul Center, where we will celebrate the completion with Mass and a dedication ceremony. Please check the bulletin next week for further details on the event. Hope you can join us!

PROJECT UPDATE

25th Year Anniversary of Ordination to the

Priesthood.

Father Mark Pranaitis is a member of the Congregation of the Mission Western

Province (Vincentians). He currently serves as Executive Director of Catholic Charities

in the Diocese of Gary, Indiana. Prior to Catholic Charities, Father Mark served as

Vice President of Operations at the Association of Catholic Colleges and

Universities in Washington D.C. He, also, has served as Associate Provost of DePaul

University in Chicago and Vice Principal of his province. He has had 11 different assignments in his 25 years as a priest.

Father Mark was ordained at St. Vincent DePaul Church in St. Louis, MO on

June 18, 1993.
